Now I am not saying that butch Dean couldn't ever be real and true and beautiful. But it is not a season 1 thing. Not even season 2-? (definitely not season 4. God, that girl would be hidding behind femininity like armor. Can't be traumatized if you're makeup is Perfect. Can't be a monster if you're so fucking perfectly pretty (although a traumatized cutting her long hair off would be fun! Except she then does it up in the softest little pixie. She's So Normal Trust Her, Regular Girl Swag)). Season 6 while she's with Lisa it begins I think, soft futch swag, then more in season 8 before the terrors a bit more? By Season 15 we can get a full butch arc so we get a nice salt and pepper butch out of her <3

The only spn genderbending discourse I will get into is that Dean is not butch 😌 She's as genderconforming as they come. She wears eyeliner sharp enough to kill a vamp.
