My job? I’m the bat enemy in 2D games that flies at you from a diagonal angle you can’t shoot in, it’s an under appreciated role but really serves to test the player’s understanding of the mechanics leading up to harder challenges. I also receive an intense smug satisfaction when they can’t hit me.
I just got promoted from that position. Now Im the disembodied head that flies in groups and in a wave motion. You have to time your attack EXACTLY right or you get knocked back in whichever direction is least convenient for you. Don't worry, I'll know which is which.

I like how many of these are like "Oh no, we accidentally named our product something that sounds bad in another language!!" but this one was just Reebok being stupid
if you don't do anything else today,
Please have a moment of silence for the people who were killed instead of freed when news of emancipation finally reached the furthest corners of the american south.
have another moment for the ledgers, catalogs, and records that were burned and the homes that were destroyed to hide the presence of very much alive and still enslaved people on dozens of plantations and homesteads across the south for decades after emancipation.
and have a third moment for those who were hunted and killed while fleeing the south to find safety across the border, overseas, in the north and to the west.
black people. light a candle, write a note to those who have passed telling them what you have achieved in spite of the racist and intolerant conditions of this world, feel the warmth of the flame under your hand, say a prayer of rememberance if you are religious, place the note under the candle, and then blow it out.
if you have children, sit them down and tell them anything you know about the life of oldest black person you've ever met. it doesn't have to be your own family. tell them what you know about what life was like for us in the days, years, decades after emancipation. if you don't know much, look it up and learn about it together.
This is Juneteenth.
white people CAN interact with this post. share it, spread it.

Hollywood truly does always take the wrong lesson from its success stories
Movie premises you can expect to see within the next 10 years:
Guy breaks both his arms and gets jacked off by his mom
Guy who thinks he has a mysterious stalker leaving postit notes around his house but he actually had a carbon monoxide leak and was leaving them himself
One man's quest to remove a small cylinder from a Mini M&Ms tube full of butter and mashed banana (the cylinder must remain unharmed)

Kadji Amin calling straight trans women more real was really not on my 2026 bingo card. After 30 years, trans studies is finally getting straight again?!
Attraction to men was a precipitating factor for downward mobility among trans women, precisely because it disposed those with transfeminine desires to actually live a transfeminine life.
(Amin 2026, "Transfemininity and Class Mobility")
A panel of two trans guys and a cis woman explaining that trans lesbians are bourgeois and fake, very cool thank you queer theory
It's actually even worse than Talia is making it out to be, my jaw genuinely dropped multiple times. Amin frames trans lesbians as square-jawed, non-passing bourgeois white women who "talked and acted masculine" and didn't care about their appearance, and straight trans women as passing, feminine, working-class women of color who were oppressed by them.
He frames trans women attracted to women as being a white, upper-class, homophobic oppressor class who considered themselves at least partially 'heterosexual men', and claims they had a deep disdain for and privilege over trans women attracted to men (who were all non-white street queens), and then only in the 1980s began to re-evaluate their self-identity to become 'lesbians'
In maybe the most specifically egregious moment, in response to a question which explicitly mentioned Beth Elliot, he said "there wasn't an articulation of trans lesbian identity until the 1980s, when this upper-class group [of rich white non-passing women-attracted trans women] began to re-examine the understanding of transvestites as 'heterosexual' [i.e. men attracted to women], and some of them began to articulate this as 'lesbianism'."
This reminded me of Serano’s essay about how people will deny trans women the closet. The closet is such a terrible place, unless you are a trans woman, and then it’s a privilege. “Oh my god you are so lucky you were denied the ability to be yourself for multiple decades. I’m sure there are no negative side effects of that for you.”
Also the implication that upper/middle class white trans women didn’t transition “to maintain their class” and not because of the fear of all the other negative consequences that come with transitioning (effect on wife/marriage, children, parents, physical safety, etc).
I also really hated the fact that he basically said “also they are all uggoes, trust me I quoted a trans woman.”
Like idk, I’m not an expert on this stuff and even I can tell this is a bad take.
DIYHRT.market is back as valerie.vg
actually the sanitization of lesbian media is because of transmisogyny. every backslide you've percieved in acceptance and equality is because of the rise of transmisogyny. free the nipple. marriage rights. clothing options. bathrooms. its all because of this big bioessentialist conservative puritan push to try to erase trans women from society and specifically lesbianism. you cannot leave us behind and expect a better world.
