WIPs that live rentless in my head [april 24] :
Jack pines for Lacie. Lacie pines for freedom. Oswald pines for his sister's future. Each to their own suffering.
Mahiro can be surprisingly soft, for example when he does not know how to handle his feelings for his stepsister Aina, or when Yukimura asks him to _____. Yukimura, ob the contrary, can be suprisingly cruel. He betrays Mahiro without a thought, lies with a straight face and does not feel ashamed, just tired of finding new excuses.
He wants to shout, they drown him.

Light arrives on Tuesday 22nd April, into a bland cell within an unknown prison. He did not wake up from the sedative they used on him, before he was already within the building. There was no way to find out which country he was in (the temperature was always the same, cold). They covered his eyes, stuffed his ears and bound him to a stretcher under the transport. These measurements, could only be L's ideas. They reeked of paranoia. The cell was bland, white walls, patternless floor, one-sided glass on one side of the wall, which he recognized immediately. Everything is in sight, he can hide nothing in here. They dumped him onto the single matress on the floor and left the handcuffs on. He layed there, still muddy from the relaxants. But he'd kept counting on the descent, 52 steps to the first doors - where they paused most likely for the guard to open the doors with his access card - one staircase down, before that - an elevator. About 15 seconds descend, or ascend if they were on a topfloor, but very unlikely. For the rest, he was still knocked out.
There is still hope.
L taunts him. Scatters the contents from Sayu's letter, multiple pages falling from the envelope onto the dead white floor. Light doesn't respont. Later, when L has left, he crawls over. Only to see that the pages are blank. (L has taunted him.)
(Or Sayu has nothing to write). //He counts the pages. There are 24, exactly one for each day that has passed since he came.
He scowls, but keeps himself from saying anything stupid. Because however much he hates Potter, the thought of being sent back to Azkaban frightens him more.
He forgets - and for a moment he is only living to soak the warm sunlight, the breeze through leaves, but he cannot leave his burdens.
Light Yagami looks like a drowning angel, white shirt, brown hair, laying in the lake.

Light turns twenty-five, thirty-five, fifty-five within the cell, but L never visits.
Jack suddenly feels exposed, he wants to hide. Oswald's dark eyes see too much of him, and there's nothing inside of Jack.
He's empty like the vast ocean. Empty like the sky.
Empty like the glass in which the water he poured over the Baskerville.

He feels utterly foolish for trying to tell Oswald, such a thought should be hidden within his heart, never spoken aloud. Glen will not understand. Glen can never help him.
If he wants to bring Lacie back, he'll rely only on himself.
He wouldn't cry like a child, unless the act will deceive them. He won't break down, despite their efforts to weaken him.
He will never give up just because the situation is hard.

In his desperation, he keeps fighting.

That night Dazai drank until he couldn't walk straight and headed to the closest bridge, jumped, fell into the gushing water, ends up further down the stream, awake, sobering, cold, cursing his fate, entered the first open ramen shop, shivering, ordered a big bowl of chicken noodles and cried into the steaming hot soup as his last attempt at escaping (has) failed.

Why does Chuuya kiss the fragile skin under his bandages, like it's soft and not full of scars? Why does Chuuya turn around immediately although he swears to never speak to Dazai again? Why does Chuuya care, when all Dazai does is hurt - himself, the people around him.
(Why does Chuuya care for Dazai, when he knows that all Dazai wishes is to die?)
(Why does he try, when it's obviously pointless?)

He should have kept his mouth shut. Now, he feels like a fool. His words were childish. They'll think he had a stupid rampage because of insignificant bagatelles.

He should smile and nod, because they will not know what it's like to sleep on the dirty streets, he should agree, because they are more people than him, he should hide what he wants, because he's alone in the pursuit.

He's trapped, there is nowhere to go. He is dying. In his last moments of desperation, he decides to scream for help. When he finally opens his mouth, water gushes in and fills his lungs. His chest burns. He's drowning.
