Hi I'm Sketchy, I've been a long time fan of this show but have only recently decided to start talking more about it.

Claiming the title of CEO of DocMurphy.

not to sound dramatic but sometimes when im interacting in z nation fan spaces i feel so like. out of the loop? i feel like im a weirdo sitting at the peanut free table while everyone else is trading lunchables for packs of oreos,,, wdym you see 10k as a 20smth.. wdym you think murphy was trying to create an actual army and that wasn't just a persona/mask... wdym you think everything after season 2 "lost the plot"... wdym you dont understand mack and addy's dynamic...

not sure if any of you are Hazbin Hotel watchers but putting Warren to Gravity from season 2 made something click in my brain for her in season 3... is this really all it took lmao

showing my friend z nation rn and would it be insane to assume Hammond and Murphy are the ones who led that hoard into the water? probably by running away and assuming they wouldnt follow them into the river? its just kind of suspicious that they showed up so close to when those two arrived on the river

this RIGHT HERE is the issue I have with Warren's characterization in this season because it doesn't make ANY sense for her to then turn around and use the Red Hand (as shitty as they are) as cannon fodder and being alright with killing Blends so easily. up until now she's been the one keeping the group on the right path, giving mercy and only taking lives when necessary. i don't get why she has this sudden change of heart just because it's Murphy and the Blends? Especially because it's very obvious the Blends in Murphytown are nothing like Cassandra. Like they're not these feral monsters, which she STILL hesitated about. If s3 Warren was with Cassandra she would've just shot her and dealt with Murphy's outburst later.

Even 10k, who didn't believe Cassandra was anything but a shell of his friend with a monster in her head, hesitated to kill her until he was literally on the brink of being killed himself. LIKE IDK I JUST DONT BUY IT??? Especially her beating up 10k later on, it feels so ooc and awfully written... i need to make a post on how I would've written s3.. it keeps everything before and after canon and everything it's just not Bad.

I HATE this so much. I was angry with Warren's attitude towards the blends, like, are you really going to treat them WORSE than you treat zombies? But, I just found this answer for myself: Blend Cass traumatized everyone in the group to one degree or another. In Warren's case, there's also resentment towards Murphy. Rage, and a strong, bitter resentment. These things combined and created... her attitude towards the blends. She disrespects their choice, doesn't understand it, and doesn't accept it. To her, the blends aren't full-fledged... anyone. Just a just a part to Murphy. Maybe this explains the different attitudes: The zombies didn't choose to be zombies, but the blends? All of them (well, ALMOST all of them) consciously became that way.

Being traumatized from Cass does make a bit of sense, I just hate that they made her SO aggressive and like she didn't care they were once humans. If I remember right she didn't even say "I give you mercy" when she killed Hope. I could very easily be wrong here but if I am right, that's SO weird for Warren. Is she implying they don't have souls just bc they chose to stand by Murphy? Yes they had a choice but isn't it more like a cult mentality? They were seeking shelter and protection and in the process "had to" give up their free will. In my opinion it's very much similar to the resurrection church and sisters of mercy- like you said she sees them as a part of Murphy and that's essentially the only difference here. She saw those other people as humans still, but she can't fathom the idea of these blends still being able to be people while under Murphy's "control"*

I really need to make a post about how I'd rewrite her this season and have her struggle with this concept while not just going in guns blazing chopping down blends Just Cause. I really do think the writers fumbled her a bit here. Even if she was traumatized with Cassandra, Warren just doesn't feel like the type of person to do a 180 on her previous moral standpoint if that even makes any sense.

*I am firmly in the camp of the Blend Hivemind rather than Murphy being a puppet master controlling their every thought and move, so I might be biased here

i know i tend to defend murphy and his actions hardcore but i feel like i need to put a disclaimer that he still does several things that are just. Shitty.

rewatching season 3 because usually i despise watching it (i hate how they characterized Warren) and wanna refresh my memory a bit, expect a few yapping posts today

thinking about the fact that Murphy gave 10k dog tags and i dont know what's worse- the meaning behind it being more like military reasons or pet reasons.

like on the military side that means murphy was expecting 10k to die, die for him and his cause, and need to identify the body. this is the more likely option, honestly, which is sad regardless because it shows how little Murphy seems to care for him during this arc. 10k has done nothing but mess up Murphy's operation and cause problems, so now he'll be used to help even if it kills him.

on the other hand, him using them to show ownership over 10k because he FINALLY got him to cooperate and wants him to have a reminder who he works for.. like in my head, Murphy initially bit people on the cheek as a brand, it was meant to be seen so they were reminded of who saved them, but 10k was bitten on the neck- the back of it- which has implications of its own i dont have time for rn. murphy wasnt trying to hold it over his head or guilt him, not until now. now he wants 10k to know the reason he's still alive and those dog tags are Murphy's claim on him. it doesnt say "property of Murphy", but the idea is There.

i need to rewatch season 3 again.

Doc sputters at that. “Gay? Sketchy and Skeezy aren’t-”

“They had a love confession, kissed, and are running a barber shop together, sweetheart,” he pokes his head between the shirts agan to give Doc a Look. “They’re gay. Now take your clothes off!”

“Who’s gay now?” Doc huffs.

I wasn't at the con, What do you mean by 'the cat' episode???

They should upload the panel it was discussed in eventually, but quick explanation: Russell Hodgkinson was trying to pitch an episode where the group finds a cat and stumble into a town where they were putting on Cats the musical during the outbreak so they're killing a bunch of people dressed as cats. Also the cat they find has immunity (I believe) and he also wanted a cat lady zombie with zombie cats but they couldn't smear blood all over a bunch of cats.

This is a very bad explanation, very sorry about that, I'll be uploading links to the panels when they're posted and possibly a few clips I wanted to talk about. For obvious reasons Russell will explain it far better than I can remember.

Tommy thinks it's natural to view the people around you as some sort of family.

He doubts anyone in his new group sees him as family, especially with how new he is to it, but Doc reminds him so much of his Pa, it was bound to slip out somehow.

Scifivalley Con Posting (8/8)

Now that all of them have their own posts I wanted to also talk about the group pic I got because they were all so stinkin nice to me 😭😭 there was also a guy in front of me in line, major dad energy, who was talking with me beforehand. Hi guy if you're seeing this you were really nice and I didn't end up finding those shirts... anyways!

Keep in mind I lowkey blacked out and only remembered any of this as we left the convention center- I walked in all nervous already because I have never done this before so I was scared, and Keith grabbed my arm w both hands and I died a bit but he asked my name and I tried to tell them but I got choked up and apologized for being nervous and Keith, Kellita, Anastasia, DJ and Michael all said it's okay and not to be nervous which was so sweet. DJ grabbed me and sorta manhandled me in front of him in the middle of the group and just kinda left his arm around me which I didn't even realize, and Kellita touched my arm which I also didn't realize. Gracie grabbed the zombie baby off the chair and held it up toward me and Russell leaned in and said something like "the baby's here" so I glanced over and it spooked me so bad bc it looked a LOT closer than in the pic. I legit almost cried- NOT BECAUSE OF RHE BABY- as the picture was taken and I was probably shaking so hard sorry DJ if you felt that... I didn't even say bye because I was so nervous I just walked right out and Anastasia called after me that she liked my hair and I said thank you but good lord I could barely breathe.

This show has been so special to me for almost 10 years and meeting them all was so insanely terrifying but so worth it. I was so scared of ruining it I got a photo protector and a second print I can display without the signatures just to be safe. God I love this cast and show and I really hope they're able to make a season six or even just a spin off.

Last solo one! DJ was sooo nice and again, didn't talk to him much but he was still awesome. Before I went up, he was dragging people to the middle of the floor for better lighting and my sibling kept accidentally photobombing so if you have a selfie with DJ and there's a teenager with pink blonde and brown hair in the background please send it to me. When we took the selfies though he walked like 2 steps and then went "oh wait there's good lighting here" so he was running around like a headless chicken for nothing 😭😭 I also went to his panel and I was gonna ask a question but I didn't line up in time. He was hilarious though he should do stand up, he'd kill it. He also put our heads together and it was very silly I love him he's such a cutie.

Oh god. The Big One for me. Hi hello my name is Sketchy and I fear I have the biggest fattest crush on Mr Keith Allan. My face was burning when I went up to him I felt so stupid but he was really nice 😭😭 he wrote my name and then went "ew" and spent a good minute or two trying to find a better sharpie (you can see the difference in the pic) while asking me what my favorite part of the show/con is "besides me" and I was like ohhh I don't know because he's literally my favorite character and also I almost threw up just THINKING about meeting him. The day before I almost passed out bc he grabbed my arm, obviously he's my favorite part of the convention. He told me and my siblings about how he loves cons because he gets to see all the cool stuff at booths and if you were there on Sunday you saw him in his neon orange outfit going through the booths so you know he wasn't just saying that lmao when we took the pictures I was smiling WAY too hard and he wanted to do zombie faces but I kept laughing and he called me a giggly zombie which just made me laugh even more 😭😭 so please ignore how weird I look in the pics, I couldn't stop giggling

I went back on Sunday because originally I wanted to ask him about docmurphy but I got scared and chickened out, so I essentially paid him another $40 to ask if he thinks Murphy finds Doc attractive and you know what? He said they would make out so it was worth it. How are we feeling DocMurphy nation? He also pretended to bite me and that's basically him proposing or something.
