The final hour is upon us

Between the two of them, Kyungsoo is less likely to initiate skinship. This doesn’t specifically state anything about kaisoo, because he’s like that with everyone. Kyungsoo is probably the most manhandled person in the world exo, and it’s made even more obvious because he’s rarely seen doing the same to someone else. Just because he’s been pointed out as, and admitted to, being “the mom” of the group doesn’t mean he sees exo as only a job. He’s the type of person that likes order and meticulousness. Why else would he stay up after an exhausting schedule to fucking fold shirts? Why else would he take the time to write a letter to his brother in the army about the health of their mother? Because he knew his brother would be worrying and he was trying to reassure him. He told his brother he missed him and he told him not to catch a cold. He told him he’d send him hot packs and if he needed anything else, to just tell him. Even though he’s the younger one, he’s telling his brother he’ll be there for him. There was a rumor going around that he wakes up in the middle of the night to go fetch medicine for Kai when he gets a fever. Even if it’s just a rumor, I wouldn’t put it past him to do exactly that. This is the boy who Sehun goes to wake up at all hours of the night to make him food because he knows he’ll do it for him. This is the boy who Suho consults about what fucking outfits he should buy. This is the boy who slung Kai’s arm around him when he got hurt and walked him out of the showcase so many months ago. This is the boy who, while at a restaurant, was still running up and down making sure the members and the managers were getting their snacks and shit. He’s the boy who stayed in position even when it looked like it hurt, and didn’t flinch. He’s the one person who always sits with perfect fucking posture, and reminds himself to sit straight in the few seconds he forgets. He’s extremely self disciplined, and he’s technically in the maknae line, since he’s the same age as Tao. But he’s considered same aged friends as chenbaekyeol because he went to school in the same year as they did. His natural self-discipline shouldn’t have to be mistaken as him seeing exo as “just a job”. He likes to sing, he's good at it, and he gets to do just that with exo. It’s not just a job, it’s his dream, and he works hard for it even after it’s come true.
Kyungsoo and Kai are both really quiet, have you noticed? You think Kai is bad, then Kyungsoo comes along and he’s even worse with voicing himself. But they understand each other. What do you think all the eye-fucking is about? They’re speaking without ever opening their mouths. Hell, sometimes they don’t even look at each other yet they carry on conversations. I take great pleasure in trying to figure out what the fuck is going on decode their silent conversations, and here I demonstrate my gallant efforts:
Instance 1: Calming down the hyper dongsaeng
Where Kai excitedly pretends to rap, Kyungsoo tells him to stop, and he does.
In which Kyungsoo’s throat hurts, and Kai tries to make the booboo go away by massaging it. Erotically. Kyungsoo doesn’t look confused nor does he try to move away because he knows what Kai was trying to do.
Instance 3: Is Jongin okay?
Where Jongin bows for an unusually long time and Kyungsoo is the only one who notices and wonders if he’s okay.
Instance 4: Where is Kyungsoo?
Where Kai is the only one who notices that kyungsoo is the last one to get past check-in and waits for him.
Instance 5: Is Jongin okay? (p. 2)
When everyone is dying from an especially tiring stage, and Kyungsoo is worried about what it must be doing to kai.
When Jongin is the only person Kyungsoo tells what the papaya salad tasted like. Shuttup, I know it’s not a “silent communication moment”, but Jongin was silent and it was cute so it counts.
Instance 7: Misunderstanding
Okay, so Kyungsoo jumped over to hug Kai, right? But on that day, Kai was ridiculously exhausted and began shaking his head no. I think it was because he was too tired for anyone. When kyungsoo saw that he was shaking his head, he was like, “oh, so I disgust you now,” and moved away. Kai noticed that and slung his arm around him so that he wouldn’t feel bad, and checked to see if he was still angry afterwards.
Kyungsoo knew about Kroong before anyone else. We make jokes about Kai’s boob-grabby hands, but he’s been doing that way before he actually did the imitation for us. During this radio show, @ 5:26, after Kai says there’s something he hasn’t done yet [for a variety skill] listen to Kyungsoo’s voice. He says, “Here it comes.” And after kai finished his imitation, the other members were all confused as to what the fuck was going on. BUT KYUNGSOO KNEW. FUCKING OTP INSIDE JOKES, YO. THAT’S WHAT’S HAPPENING.
Instance 9: Kyungsoo’s FACE
Where Kyungsoo opens a bottle of water and instead of drinking it, gives it to Kai. And then Soo’s face. He’s trying to stop his face from doing hysterical smiling, and it’s only half working.
In this video, @ 0:36, you can see that Kyungsoo can’t take the heat and looks very weak. Which explains why Kai is sitting so close to his face when the camera interrupts. He’s trying to make sure Kyungsoo is okay. And then here, we have Kyungsoo asking if Kai is hot, and Kai nodding really subtly.
Instance 11: Jongin ~knows~
This is when I first realized exactly how alike Soo and Jonginnie are. It was after a performance and Kyungsoo had his head tilted back. It seemed so weird. Then Kai put his arm around him, and I realized. Kyungsoo was tired. It hit like a fucking freight train, because I couldn’t ever recall thinking about how tired Kyungsoo looked. I never saw him panting or even looking uncomfortable, even when he had to be. Just like I never knew when Kai was hurt. But Kai took one look at him and he fucking knew. So I wonder about all those times Kai seems to laugh for no reason at things Kyungsoo says. I think Kai understands when Kyungsoo is making a joke, even when fans, MCs, and the members have no fucking clue. And Kai laughs for Kyungsoo.
Instance 12: MY FUCKING FAVORITE
Kai is cold. Kyungsoo is cold. Everyone is fucking cold. Baekhyun tries to eat his own fingers in hopes that they’ll warm up. Kai gets his hands on a hotpack. HE GOES TO GIVE IT TO KYUNGSOO. KYUNGSOO REFUSES. Do you know why Kyungsoo refused? Because he saw when Jongin shivered really hard from the cold and didn’t want to take the hotpack away from him. The same hotpack that Kai denied Sehun, in order to give to Kyungsoo. Romeo and Juliet ain’t got nothing on my OTP, William. NOTHING.
Times when I was confused about what the exact fuck was going on, which I remain confused about to this very day AKA times when I am convinced they are fucking:

What I really really want
After a while you kind of learn to just enjoy the OTPing happen, no matter how weird the moment may be. And that’s how Jongin and Kyungsoo are anyway. They’re both 4D, yet they still manage to understand each other when no one else can. Jongin is comfortable being himself with Kyungsoo, and that’s important. He’s too quiet to tell you what he needs, even when he’s hurt, and I’m happy that Kyungsoo notices anyway. Kyungsoo thinks dearly of Kai, too, because Kai does the same thing for Kyungsoo that Kyungsoo does for him. They dim the lights and watch shows at night together. Just because Kai is the more expressive one between the two of them, doesn’t mean Kyungsoo isn’t just as fond of him. These two have watched Pororo together. That’s like being into Dora the fucking Explorer, and if it wasn’t weird enough that you liked it, you actually found someone who would watch it with you. And liked it enough to watch it with you again.
