In defense of this scene

After races, the clothes stay on in showers. The point is to get the mud, grass, foam, whatever off the clothes and yourself. Just like with beach showers meant to take sand off of the bathing suit or the swimsuit, you don't take the clothing off because it is still a public space and you usually don't just have a whole set of new clothes to change into or a complete bag of shower essentials with you because you just ran a race.

Spartan races are real, and people get very dirty in them.

And sometimes, you can get a toga/trash bag thing to rise off with after the race.

But either way, you are still showering with others, and you want to be quick so others can get in and shower, so even if a race has a more solid building for showers with walls and in-door plumbing, the doors usually stay open on the stalls since it's an in-and-out situation.

The show probably put it in this space so we could have the tension of not knowing where Akki was when he want silent and allow them more privacy to kiss without people watching them, but showers, with clothes on after a race, are the norm.
