In our daily life we have to remind ourselves to come back to our body and take care of our body. Many of us have not been kind enough to our body. We have worked our body too hard; we have neglected it. When we spend two hours on our computer, we may entirely forget that we have a body. Our body is lonely; there is tension, there is pain. When the mind is not with the body, you are not really there, alive. We are truly alive only when our mind is with our body. And so when we hear the sound of the bell, it reminds us to go back to our body, to recognize the existence of our body, and to take care of our body. We enjoy breathing and bring our mind home to our body, and suddenly we are fully present in the here and now. We release the tension in our body and smile. This is an act of reconciliation, an act of love.
