Latino is not a race â itâs a culture. Thereâs Chinese Latinos, thereâs very white Latinos, thereâs very dark Latinos, thereâs black Latinos. Thereâs all sorts of variants â itâs not one thing.
; for some reason, reading about the reign of terror in the french revolution as preparation for an academic paper makes me miss george cooper. my small son.
"THE LIONNESS IS A WHORE."
âânot accepting.
tricksterchosen.
â WHO THE FUÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â ALIANNE COOPER,
I am THOROUGHLY disappointed in you, young lady. Ithought such SLANDER was beneath you â and aboutyour own mother, too?? I understand that the two of you do not get ALONG, however, this is UNFORGIVABLE. Apologize. NOW! And not to me, but to HER. I will notallow for this kind of talk in my house, so if you want toCONTINUE this, you may select your most importantitems and BE ON YOUR WAY. Is that understood??Now, go, apologize. Hope that she will not kill you. â
If you lost me in a crowd, what "offensive" thing could you yell that'd be GUARANTEED to track me down? :P

âIâd guess it was Lady Alanna.â Kel said, not bothering to hide her amusement behind her mask. âIf I were to teach Alianne anything, it would be Shang Combat before it would be swordwork.â She paused and hid a small smirk, replacing it with a more polite smile. âIâm guessing your daughter got the drop on you?â The knight trailed off slightly at the end of the question. She never knew how to address George Cooper, he always seemed to hate it when someone My Lord âd him.
Shang Combat. The baron grimaced and let out an almost uncomfortable bark of laughter. Given Alannaâs unorthodox training, he had been on the receiving end of that kind of combat a couple of times ( she didnât MEAN to knock him unconscious the first time; he supposed it was his fault for starting a fight, even if it were not serious, with a woman trained to kill him ). â That she did. I donât think she needs more ammunition tâconvince me that sheâd be good in the field, but itâs good tâhear that sheâs been bondinâ with her ma, I sâpose. â

HE HAD NOT been a part of the... INITIATION process. As the leader of the group, he was expected to be there. However, he preferred Rispah to take care of the new people. The strangerâs reaction to a WOMAN leading the Rogues was often very telling, and if the stranger was somehow linked to law enforcement or rival families, it wouldnât do them any good for them to know his FACE. See, even though an air of notoriety surrounded the Rogues, no one from the outside actually knew anything about their workings. For all they knew, Rispah could easily be the leader. George liked the anonymity, but he was not going to hide in the SHADOWS forever. As soon as someone was deemed SAFE by Rispah, they were to meet the real leader of the Rogues: HIM.
â I see youâve found some NEW MEAT, â was his cheery greeting to Rispah, who sat with a fresh-faced redhead in the corner of the Dove. Out of habit, he eyed the woman ( who seemed not much more than a child to him, but that could have been the SIZE of her, fooling him with its ... tininess ). To said redhead, he extended a hand, and then landed in the seat next to his cousin. â Rispahâs no doubt forgettinâ her manners, â a wink was sent to the stranger, whose eyes he quite liked, â Iâm George Cooper, her COUSIN. Sorry tâinform you of BETRAYAL so early in our      business relationship, but sheâs been lyinâ to you. See, sheâs not the leader here. I AM. â His grin was wide, unapologetic.

â I PROMISE. Itâll be done in FIVE minutes, and then Iâll come tâbed. â It was dangerous to say such a thing to his wife, to challenge her order. Not so much because she was the feared Lioness, but more because of the size of her STOMACH. After Thom had caught them by surprise while out in the field, he had insisted that she would stay at home from the moment her belly had reached a certain circumference. Much to her annoyance, he had teamed up with the King, so she had no choice but to RELAX until their child arrived.
It was a luxury to have her around. George could not express how happy he was to know for certain that she would be lying by his side when heâd wake. However, while she was relieved from her duties, he was NOT.
â If youâre waitinâ for me, youâre sittinâ down, and if youâre not, youâre goinâ straight to bed. Youâll do no one good by just standinâ there, darlinâ. â

The voice nearly made Nawat jump out of his skinâ and even so, a few feathers poked out of his temples. He hadnât realized how close to sleep heâd been.
âCrow nestling do not seem to require as much     attention as human nestlings.â
A SMALL CHUCKLE refused to be contained as George settled in a chair beside his son-in-law. His large palm landed on Nawatâs back a few times. â No? Well, thatâs lucky. You never know how important sleep is âtill you father children and your wifeâs too grumpy tâget up in the middle of the night. I think Alanna eventually learned how tâtune them out. Quite scary, actually. â
ghxsteyes:
âWell, that makes a lot more sense. And I guess you wouldnât have met the Lioness if you had not. The move of a looby, but worth it.â
â THE MOVE OF a what? Never mind, Iâm guessinâ itâs not a flatterinâ term, and Iâm quite used to that. And youâre right about that; wouldnât have met her. â
thehxrd:
Heâd merely been walking on the ground, before George, giant flea as he was, had chosen to be a pain in the tail end. I was just walking. Why would I search for your ears? They are on your head.
â NOT ALL OFÂ âem, kitty. â He was well-aware that the endearment was annoying. If it were not, he would not use it. â Your knight-tâ-be didnât tell you? â
ââmxndelan.
â DID YOU TEACH Aly how tâ stab me with a wooden sword, or was that my wife? âCause Iâm never goinâ tâ hear the end of it. â

â SON, YOUâRE SORTA   Nawat? You awake? Itâs not even midday. Parenthood hit you hard? â
