introducing theo bramford as . . . queen anna of arendelle @resurrectionevent
@fallsbled // buffy (closed starter)
spending the night alone in her apartment was the last thing theo wanted to do right now. sure, it would’ve been easy to go home, but she didn’t want her heightened panic to worry her parents or scare her younger brothers. luckily she’d been able to convince another to come and stay with her. “nothing too scary,” she called from the kitchenette. balancing a bowl of popcorn, a bottle of wine, and two glasses, she reclaimed her spot beside her cousin. “i’m thinking disney level.”
fortisinunum:
Tomas glared at her slightly, he was taken by surprise and wasn’t necessarily too fond of strangers since Alexander’s disappearance. It wasn’t until he realized that she was the only patron that actually stepped up to him to help that he relaxed. “I’m sorry – thank you,” Tomas took the towel from the girl and pressed it against the palm of his hand watching as the towel went from white to red. “Why…why are you helping?” he asked voice shaky.
she waved off the apology, understanding the hesitance and distrust towards strangers at a time like this. one could never be too careful, especially in a town like deacon falls. “don’t even worry about it, i totally get it,” theo assured him, offering up a small, tired smile and a shrug. the question struck her as odd, but then she was reminded of where they lived and it seemed less strange. she sighed. “i guess i just don’t like seeing people hurt if there’s something i can do about it. the world is already dark enough, why should i add to it when i can try to provide some light?” a pause. “...i sound like a hallmark movie character...”
fortisinunum:
Nothing had ever been the same since Tomas had caught the glimpse of the deadlights – something he didn’t even realize he knew the name of until he was hit with them. The last thing on his mind though was trying to figure out why he knew that information. He sat in the same spot he always sat in at the coffee shop – side to the window – but idly thumbed the now lukewarm coffee mug. Every time he closed his eyes flashes of his dreams hit him repeatedly.
Himself dead, a pool of blood surrounding him.
Alexander dead.
Other people he hadn’t even met yet but felt so familiar – dead.
He didn’t snap out of whatever funk he was in till he smashed the mug in his hand.
“Fuck – fuck, shit,” He looked down as the coffee pooled all over the table and blood on his hands, blood and coffee dripping onto him. Tomas clenched and unclenched his jaw, he couldn’t cry that was a cowards move. No one around him seemed to care either, and at that moment Tomas felt nothing more than alone.
she’d only come to the café to pick up some cocoa and treats for the squad, a treat for the bonding that would take the place of today’s practice. with one of the girls having lost a parent and another’s girlfriend was amongst the missing, theo knew there was no point in running through cheers and choreography. instead the focus would be on ensuring the squad knew they weren’t alone. the sound of shattered ceramic and cursing from behind made her turn, gaze immediately focusing on the blood. without much hesitation, a small (clean) towel was pulled from her bag and held out to him. “you’re gonna want to get some pressure on that. i can see if they’ve got a first aid kit, but with that much blood you might need a couple of stitches.”
sequcls:
another name . another search party . it felt wrong but she wished she could forget the names and faces . the ones on the missing posters and the ones in her nightmares . she wished her brother wouldn’t have signed her up for such a futile thing . everyone knew they don’t come back once they’re gone . waking up at six in the morning to shout their syllables into an EMPTY forest wouldn’t stop their fates . with a sigh , she looked down at the photo given to all volunteers . a pretty , young thing . black hair and green eyes . dew stuffed it into her back pocket , shaking her head as she walked to her zone . it’d be her , the person’s uncle , and —– ‘ by god , i… did not expect to see you here and awake before noon . ’ / IT EVENT OPEN !
people had always gone missing in deacon falls, it was just a fact of the town. likely why theo always put an emphasis on personal safety with her squad. every single one of the cheerleaders she coached attended a self defense class. team bonding she’d called it, though everyone knew there was more behind it. disappearances were normal in a town this dark. but this felt different. more sinister, somehow. blinking her eyes back into focus on the photo, she glanced up at the her zone-mate. “i run daily at seven am,” she replied, brow raised. “and why wouldn’t i be here to help out?”
