Instead of writing, "I wish you were here, come home soon," she'll say, "Am having a fine time. Stay as long as you like."

[ID: Andy walks down a dirt road, reading the letter as he goes. /end] Andy: "My dear Andy, Received your very sarcastic letter and don't see why you should take exception to my going out with the Harwoods. They are your best friends. I think it is wonderful of them to entertain me while you are gone. As for little Chester, he is not neglected. He is visiting the Freshmans and is having the time of his life.

[ID: Andy sits on a hollow log by the side of the lake and keeps reading, taking his hat off and setting it to his side. /end] Andy: "Called him up this morning and he doesn't want to come home. Mama is coming to visit us. Will stay about two weeks. Isn't that grand? Take good care of yourself. Have a good time and write a real sweet letter. Min." Yes. A sweet letter after that!
