“Ever wonder what the 27/5 WFTDA minimum skill requirement translates to in actual distance and speed? A lap of the standardized flat track around the diamond “racing line” is 180½ feet, so you’ll need to cover 0.92 miles at 11 miles per hour to make the grade.

That’s equivalent to the top speed of a domesticated pig. (No kidding.) If you can’t skate faster than a pig can run, you’d better get your bacon in gear!”
