The good news … in the past week, Vagendas raised another $840 for Planned Parenthood Action Fund, bringing the total raised to $2136!
The bad news … the state of Ohio passed the Heartbeat Bill which would ban abortions once a heartbeat is detected … typically six weeks into pregnancy and often before a woman knows she is pregnant … and makes no exceptions for cases involving incest and rape.
I’m trying my best to be graceful and smart with my words here and say things like, measures such as these are unconstitutional … but this is all a flaming heap of bullshit. I mean, yes yes yes, it’s unconstitutional but first and foremost that women’s bodies are legislated in ways that men’s bodies aren’t, that restricting access to abortion doesn’t stop women from seeking abortions … it doesn’t want them to want babies all of a sudden, that measures like these seek to chip away at Roe v Wade and on and on and on makes me want to flip over all the tables all the time, on a daily basis.
I’m so mad. And I’m hoping to turn that anger … into totes!

In a little less than a week nearly $1300 was raised for Planned Parenthood Action Fund, which makes me feel like a million bucks.
