1956. We met for the briefest moment but I'll remember you. 51.5320226 -0.0631162. The queue was five deep, not wanting to intrude I stood at the side, the flyers were perfect. Real food, real ale, real atmosphere. We come back here on a Sunday, maybe in September, hopefully before. No one else is there. We have a burger and share chips, the chips have chilli sauce, I finish them. You probably eat well. I'm super conscious not to offend you, I like you so much I can't talk to you. There was one time in a pub when you were telling me something about the music, I couldn't hear you but I could feel your lips on my ear and on my nose, like long summer grass in France. If I'd looked at you it would have been different. I wonder how long I'll have to sit next you before you notice when I'm not there. I think that was the right way of saying it. Whatever, sometime after this we dance and no one tells us to leave. Later I think we're their target audience. What do we look like to others; young, professional, successful? Do they know what we do for a living? I always go to places for the first time, they know this. The music is tasteless and my chair is where I like it in the corner.

We went to the wrong curry house. I knew it right away but I didn't say anything, we went to the wrong one. Where I was sitting it looked like daylight, outside on the street there was a white BMW X5 from Dubai. When I tried to take a picture of it it moved. The light shifted, like a bad photograph. When I was cycling home I felt unstable, I stopped looking at the cars I took a wrong turning I was probably enjoying it. I did 200 metres without hands. I stopped drinking seven days ago; I was curry drunk. The best bit was a tomato covered in lime.

Tonight was the party night. I think of the 3D printer printing itself out everywhere, sending boxes of its parts all over the country and potentially globally. I have no idea what it looks like. It's a predominantly grey looking post-medical object, like a cross between a 2D printer and an incubator. The same guy's always using it. I remember about three summers of cycling around the patio at the back of our kitchen, following the same route around and around, becoming eventually perfect at it. I got a scooter during the scooter craze, and the book that came with it, I read it so many times I can still remember the font. I don't think I surpassed the two star tricks. I preferred thinking about the other kids who would read it for the five star tricks, and what other tricks they'd go on to invent after they mastered those. And where the sort of vert ramps would be where they hung out. We ground the edges of a brick ledge with our metal scooters, the bricks were scratchy and sharp and harsh. A few summers later I would lie on the raised stone at the bottom of the patio with my skateboard, probably looking at the stars, it was best to do it at night time. I imagine it was warm. This ledge was peripheral to everything. I think at one point a tree got turned into a flower arrangement, now it's just a circle of soil in the middle of the patio. Or maybe that's gone too. It didn't leave much space for grinding. I guess we always look young to each other, until it changes. I spent forty minutes at the bus stop last night, giving people wrong directions. I checked my emails when I got home.
