i still don’t understand why recovery isn’t romanticized more. getting better after being at your lowest point? working hard and doing what it takes to feel safe again? knowing that occasional dips aren’t the end of the world? changing yourself and ridding your life of toxic behavior/people? i’m sorry that sounds better than any edgy miserable story i’ve ever heard.

sometimes holding onto hope is what keeps us going, so hold on to whatever little spark of it that you have, you will get through these things, even if things aren’t perfect, even if that hope is for something simple to happens. it doesn’t have to be so idealistic that it barely feels possible; hold on to any way form of hope you find that comforts you and allows you to go on. no matter how small. even if what you’re hoping for is a going out with friends soon, or a new movie coming out, or a concert, or for your medication to kick in, or for your flare up to fade away. hold onto any hope you can, no matter how small 🌻

maybe it’s hard to see a way out of this mess and things are hard right now and you are just scraping by trying to survive. it might be hard to see a light at the end of the tunnel, but that doesn’t mean it’s not there, it just means you should try to keep going, to keep searching, keep looking for help, for a way to make things a little better. not all hope is lost, though it might seem so when dealing with something so difficult that it starts crushing you. but there is still hope to get this weight off you, and maybe asking for help is the one of the best solutions here. rest, take things at your own pace, but don’t give up just yet.

trying to come out of a rut is not as easy as it seems, but there is still hope. there is always hope. you will find a light at the end of this tunnel.

This right here is what made this show happen and the reason why every new Disney cartoon also has a next time on reel. GF's last big lost media hunt is over!
