MR WOLF

Good Boy Wolf is a Notorious Photographer & Director that lives and resides in London UK, but shoots globally. He happily will jump open a plane, motorbike, truck, car or camel to find the perfect shot. Known as Mr Wolf, his work is intimate, commercial, location and studio based and very filmic. His Mum said that the images are the best she has ever seen. This is his blog, linked to his Instagram, it shows the updates, the reasons and where abouts of him. If you are a camera geek like him, he shoots on a Fuji GFX 50s, a Leica Q2, a Nikon z7 and a Fuji Hx1. Always with a bag full of lens. When using studio flash he uses Profoto with diffusion's ranging from Elinchrom Octa boxes to Profoto beauty boxes. He likes to shoot pro bono work in-between commercial projects, and produces a lot of his own work. He works hard because he loves what he does, and because he is covered in tattoos, he is very limited to any other professional job. He has been listed in the top 200 photographers worldwide by Luzers Archive and occasionally will enter competitions to massage his ego. Other than this, he is a nice Mr Wolf, that loves portraits, landscapes, creative ideas and holding a camera in his right hand. He is right handed.

NOTORIOUS PHOTOGRAPHER NOT SO NOTORIOUS IN LOCKDOWN. 

Over the past three weeks whilst being trapped, stuck, isolated indoors, I am the ever creative that can’t keep still, can’t just sit there. I want to go and photograph, hone my skills even more, discover new people (from a 2m distance) and focus heavily on advertising photography because this is my home. Advertising and portrait photography is what makes me a photographer.

The Covid19 as much as it is a bastard of a situation we find ourselves in, it has also made me discover new skills and interests. (albeit always in the photography field)

Usually I am photographing on big sets, having crew around me, a producer to turn to, an assistant or two, but now it is just me, my camera and some lights. I do miss the bigger community of set life but I have realised you can shoot it all on my own. It isn’t as glamorous, it certainly is a harder process and push come to shove the work isn’t as good as having a team behind me. Of course we try our hardest and push ourselves out of our comfort zones.

I have done two projects whilst in isolation, one photographing people on their door steps and the second project which I am currently in the middle of, photographing our key workers. It is two fold this project. To keep my sanity good, and to really showcase and show how proud I am and hopefully everyone else, of our key workers.

They are risking their own lives to help keep us moving, educated, clean, healthy and fed. I have found having met a strong amount of key workers that their common trait is fear they will bring the disease home with them and infect their loved ones. This is something we forget. They aren’t worried about themselves, it is always other people first, them second. It takes a special breed of human to be like this, a hero. Thank you from me, my partner and my daughter.
