Posted @withrepost • @ae_dop Another little ADOW2 rushes frame, again from the incredible #GloucesterCathedral..⁠ ⁠ Although we had our main lighting rig of 18k's pushing through the incredible old stained-glass windows, this moment was accentuated by the power of the sun that carried the colour of the window glass onto the stonework. Posted @withregram • @ae_dop A couple more frames from the ADOW2 shoot...⁠ ⁠ This was shot at our beautiful Sept-Tours Location..⁠ ⁠ The set-up involved a big mixed Tungsten and HMI balloon rigged above the gardens, secured and expertly placed by Hanoi and his team..⁠ ⁠ We then accentuated the world with numrous additional small sources uplighting and picking out accents to add detail and texture, as well as punctuate the space with light..⁠ ⁠ Our stunning artists were then keyed using LED Arri Skypanel sources diffused through gridcloth, with a subtle graduation in colour temperature to accentuate the wrap..⁠ ⁠ ⁠ Shot on @Arri #AlexaMini with #Panavision #PVintage primes. ⁠ ⁠ Serviced by @Panavisionofficial and @Panaluxworld for the UK leg of the shoot.. https://www.instagram.com/p/CgIh8JrIkWN/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Posted @withregram • @ae_dop Little flashback to the time we got to light the whole of the Grand Canal in Venice on #ADOW2... I never realised how little workable light there'd be at night until the first recce.. (Search for 'Venice Grand Canal Night' and you'll see it's all long exposure photography with light skies and burning highlights) ⁠ ⁠ Pretty much every bit of illumination in this frame came from the hard work of the team.. Using big heads crossing the water flagged+netted at the top to create the feeling of gruated uplighting on the buildings.. Backlighting from big HMI's around the corner in the distance, then numerous big moving heads on cranes on barges to illuminate the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute and other buildings in deep background..
