Hey just a quick question, if you dont mind! Will the more underrated character like the student in class 1b will stand out more or have more screen time in the fix it my hero academia fic you made? I know it probably mainly will just focus on izuku, but i am curious how you would do other characters!
Yes, I really want to give a ton more characters (especially 1-B) their times to shine!!
The Hero Class Civil Warfare -inspired arc (which will replace the canonical Final Exams arc) focuses on 1-B a lot. About half of 1-B will get more screen time than the other half in this arc, but that will then be reversed in another, more brief section a bit further in the fic, so everyone in 1-B has their moment for growth. Essentially, I want to give all 1-B characters a skill boost in some regard, and then hopefully have them play much larger roles in the massive fights slated to occur in the second half of the fic ;w;
I'm aiming to focus on some lesser developed villains a bit more, too. Spinner in particular is someone who I think could have played a much more involved role in canon, so I'm bringing a lot of stuff regarding heteromorph discriminatiom foreward to make that plotline and the relevant characters to it (e.g. Shoji & Koda, and in some regard the Creature Rejection Clan) feel more grounded and less tacked on at the end.
Lesser developed 1-A characters will have a bit of a boost, too. I have something cool planned for Ojiro in the internships arc, and I am going to attempt to do the impossible: Make Rikido Sato An Actual Relevant Character, And Not Just B-List Deku. We'll see how that goes lmao
Some cool heroes who didn't get much screen time (or who only appeared in the spin-off mangas / light novels) will hopefully have some time to shine, too, but they won't be as involved.
Most actual character development will be centralised on 1-A, 1-B, the U.A. faculty & extended connections (in particular All Might, Aizawa, Mic, Oboro, Midnight, Nedzu, Tsukauchi, Night Eye, and Gran Torino), the vestiges, the League of Villains, and some one-off characters (like Hawks, Nagant, Mirio/Nejire/Amajiki, a couple of villains from the first 3 movies, a few villains from the M.LA., etc.). All other characters come secondary as supporting cast where relevant.
Super stoked to write them all. I have so much love for MHA, and especially all its lesser appreciated characters and arcs. I hope it'll be a refreshing take on the less canon-centric stuff where the timeline really starts to deviate <3
