What are the chances of joining a team together, become best buddies and fall in love over the course of a century then forget

Find each other without meaning too simply because 'hey this guy is an amazing cook' [in reference to the fact that Magnus canonically is a fan of Sizzle It Up as Taako did a show in his town.]

Wind up going after the same goal together years later and becoming best buddies; naturally bickering like an old married couple like they used to.

Have these feelings of infactuation with the other, but say nothing

Only come to find out that they spent a century together, fighting side by side and supporting one another.

and yet still, 50 or so years down the line, they’re still by each other’s side.

Even with the world and chances against them, they still found each other long before they were even meant to

Headcanon: So in the first Maxfun bonus episode where we see the tres horny boys meeting each other for the first time in the bar, we learn that Taako did a show in Raven’s Roost that Magnus attended.  His show was a big hit!

Here’s a thought; Taako and Magnus have a small fling during Taako’s stay.

Headcanon 2: Julia and Magnus weren’t together at that point.  Not yet, but it happens, and Julia is very well aware of the crush that her boyfriend/fiance/husband still has on that wizard chef.  It doesn’t bother her at all, and she actually finds it funny and cute and makes a few jokes that fluster her SO.

hey... can u describe the kiss from the bonus ep... im begging ...

Oh happily ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Putting this under a read more in case someone doesn’t want to be spoiled for that episode! (I know it’s been a while, but it’s a bonus thing and all.)

So the plot of the episode is that Taako, Magnus, and Merle get shrunk down and put into a magic sandcastle. (Which sounds weird but I swear to god it happened. Like, this bread thing I’m about to describe probably isn’t even the weirdest part of the episode.)

At one point, a lady starts throwing breadcrumbs near the castle. And since they’re so small, it’s like bread is raining from the sky. There’s so much bread. They’re surrounded by bread. One large loaf lands on Merle and he's stuck. So Taako and Magnus decide to help their bud out and start eating the bread. They both roll really good, and they end up kissing Lady And The Tramp style.

(The dudes gearing up to fight them nearby were pretty impressed.Griffin: “The kissing they loved.  The sandpipers have been writing Magnus/Taako slash fiction for a long time.  You guys are their OTP.”)

Everyone moved on with their lives, and the mods of this blog are still dying over it.

Headcanon: So remember when Taako and Magnus canonically kissed in the MaxFun Bonus episode  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Well, it’s not their last, as Magnus offers to continue to kiss him around the Bureau as a joke and Taako’s all for it, and it’s worth it for how often Merle yells at them to get a room and hearing how Carey burst out laughing at the ridiculousness of it all. But eventually, the kisses last longer.  There's a little more thought put into their shows.  Hands wander more than they should to just be damn platonic.  But... Neither call it out, and there's a building nervousness about it; about the other noticing and catching on to what's really going on and just stopping it completely. But it never comes, and they share their first real kiss during TEH, seconds before the clock strikes noon.  They don’t say anything.  They don’t need to. And that was their last kiss for a while, up until their final battle with the Hunger.  Or after. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Headcanon: Magnus builds a home in Raven’s Roost post-finale for him and Taako. It isn’t Taako’s only home; he winds up crashing at Barry and Lup’s place from time-to-time when he’s visiting his school. But his home -- his first home, is with Magnus. The home that Magnus built for the two of them and their many dogs.
