other inspirations for kaede? btw i have played huniepop!

TBH I really don’t have many sources of inspiration for her. as i’ve said, i based her bitchy ego on audrey from huniepop, but kaede is mainly a societal expression for me. i see a lot of people get prickly about the concept of what a ‘prostitute is’ (btw did you guys know that it’s now derogatory to use the word prostitute? its ‘sex worker’ now.) and sometimes it grates on me that im the only one in the room to feel pity while everybody else feels disgust. i want to be very realistic with kaede. she’s meant to be a stereotype, and that’s a little tongue in cheek on my behalf. i see girls call themselves feminists who preach a misandrists manifesto. i see neolibertarianism amongst a mass who have no intentions of assembling a revolution. i just. im very interested in these shaded areas in society and i wanted a chance to explore and slate it through a muse who is a misandrist, liberal sex worker. i guess you could say that i take some inspiration from clockwork orange, too? its definitely something i think about sometimes while doing some threads. marla from the fight club also comes to mind at times. but really, blame my sociology textbooks.
