Living Stones

A man can make bricks but God can make stones. Living stones, saints, built together as a dwelling place for himself.

"Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ." ~ 1 Peter 2:5

Gods Economy

God’s economy is a blood economy, to receive forgiveness there has to be payment, this payment is by blood only. Israel had to shed the blood of a perfect, innocent lamb, without wrinkle or spot at the appointed time. It wasn’t about asking, begging, feeling regret, guilty or getting right, it was the shed blood that covered their sins for one year, they could walk away from that sacrifice forgiven, for a time.

This was a shadow of the perfect sacrifice of Jesus to bring in the New Covenant.

“Here I am, I have come to do your will. He sets aside the first to establish the second.” Hebrew 10:9

His shed blood took away sin, once for all.

“Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29

It was a one time event, forgiveness for all.

“For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit:” 1 Peter 3:18

To receive forgiveness all you have to do is believe.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:16-18

So know that when you believe in Jesus you are forgiven, not because of asking, but because of his blood.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8

It's free and it's for you

Jesus died to take sin out of the way, not only that but He rose again to give you life, his life, unearned, by grace, saved through faith. God loves you and wants to live in you and be with you forever. You can’t earn his favour, but only by faith to receive his favour. You can never make yourself right with God, Jesus has made you right with God by faith.
