“Are you really sure you want to be asking me for advice with this?”
“... should I... not be? I don’t know. It’s one of those things where multiple opinions could make it work out better.”
I honestly think I’m the only person down to party tonightaround here.
“I’m sure you could find some people who’d go with you. I mean, most of us are bitter it’s not the Seahawks in it this year but that’s certainly no excuse not to party.”
“It’s finally the weekend, which means no more reading until Monday and time to practice taking pictures of the awesome things in life!”
“Do you spend most weekends taking pictures of things? Or are you trying it out?”
“Have you ever been to Donny’s Wings & Waffles, best wings in town. Plus every year they always have a great spread. And if you pick the winner your beer’s comp ”
“I can’t say that I’ve been there yet, though it sounds awesome. Comped beer is always a positive. And if they’ve got good wings then I can’t really complain. I wonder how much business places like that get on the Superbowl? Probably something ridiculous.”
“You should see my fridge, you would think that a twelve year old lived there from all the junk food. The only thing keeping me from having a heart attack is the running around I do.” Robin had been about to continue when he looked at the number counter sign above the cash register. There were still five more ahead of him. “I would skip everyone if I weren’t worried about being haunted by the spirit of queues, not that I’m afraid of spirits or ghost since I happen to be a ghost buster and a police officer and a Sagittarius,”
“That sounds like quite the adventure to look through. But I guess that’s the saving grace for most people who live in the City. You can walk pretty much everywhere.” Thomas furrowed his eyebrows and smile at the other man, titling his head slightly. “Not afraid, huh? Are Sagittarius’s good at ghost things or something?”
“Actually, yeah,” Francesca replied with a laugh, glad that their completely sarcastic conversation had come to an end. She didn’t know how long she would have kept it up. “A few of them were super interested in the idea of trying parkour. I might be able to talk my coach into doing a session here. Maybe we can get King 5 to do a segment, too.”
Thomas let a flash of surprise cross his features, caught off guard by the news but happy all the same. “You serious?” he questioned. “That’d be awesome. I’d be down for that for sure.”
“It is a very popular sport here. I still don’t understand it. My football and football here is very different. But it’s nice to see the people so excited about something I guess. I too, much rather go to the World Cup.”
“As long as the excitement is just excitement and not like. Riots and stuff. I’m cool with it. Anything more rambunctious and then I’m less than supportive. Some people get crazy over their teams here.”
Depends. Most of the time no. Not really. Radio is pretty live. The only thing that isn’t is the music. Hmm, well then that gives me a little hope. But out of respect I won’t say anything more about that. What do you do, Thomas?
I guess that makes sense. What do you talk about? Well, I thank you for the respect. I’ve had my fair share of run ins with people who didn’t. I’m a gym owner, actually.
It is, way better than older one’s I’ve had. I actually don’t get told that. The only time people mention my vioce is when they recognize me.Thomas. That’s my last name. Nice to meet you. You have a really cute face. So I’m guessing you’re taken, gay or both?
That’s pretty cool, then. Do people recognize you often? I always assumed DJing was more recorded and stuff as opposed to people watching. Oh, uh, thanks. I’ve got good genes. But, yeah, taken. Just taken, though. One of the two.
I don’t see the point honestly, but you’d never catch me camping out to spend my money. Oh, radio. I work over at 90.3. I’m a DJ, personality if you will. I’m Ryder.
Gotta have money spend in order to camp out. Oh, sick, really? That’s a pretty cool gig. Do people tell you you’ve got a radio voice often because of it? I’m Thomas. It’s nice to meet you, Ryder.
Well, capitalism is what makes the world go round. I can’t understand that or the people that camp out for days when they just play their cards right and get a pretty good seat. I mean, the station gave away like 10 tickets or something a few weeks ago
It’s frustrating as hell, but it’s true. That... is crazy. Though they’re probably the same people who go shopping on Black Friday and camp out in front of stores for huge game station releases. Station? What kind of station?
You know what they say, the more expensive something is, the more people want it.

That is capitalism at it’s best, isn’t it? On the real, though. People are insane for paying that much for a football ticket. I don’t understand.
Robin moved closer to the display of baked goods as he asked the man he was talking too, “What do you think Pink frosting with sprinkles or jelly filled?” Robin couldn’t help agreeing with the man suggestion of butter for cooking. “Of course anything with a lot of butter would taste good, why do you think Lobster is so popular, it’s all the butter. With out the butter it’s just sea bug meat. Unfortunately if I ate like that I would have to do over a thousand push-ups to keep from looking like santa. ”
Thomas winced slightly at the suggestion. “It sounds incredibly... sweet. And artificial. Maybe some a little less... attention grabbing? Chocolate and sprinkles?” Letting out a grin, he nodded in agreement. “That’s very true. I don’t mind plain lobster, though. It’s rich enough as is. The butter just makes it a bit better. And I’m sure one cheat meal would have you looking like Santa. If it became a habit, though? Totally Santa.”
“Guess you’ll just have to settle for eating chicken wings and watching the game on someone’s couch. While cheering on for other teams even if you’re only cheering for them one day out of the year.”
“See, that doesn’t sound so bad? I get to eat good food from the safety of my own home and don’t have to worry about getting trampled. Besides, there’re some places around here that make some damn good wings.”
“I suppose, to some, the amount would be a lot to shell out for American football. I guess that’s why everyone stays home, no?”
“Oh, I bet loads of people will pay for the tickets. It’s a once and a lifetime event to go to. But, you know. I’d rather pay that much to go to a World Cup and have a few matches under my belt as opposed to just one. I’ve heard California is buzzing already with people streaming in for the game.”
“Exactly. See, you get it.” Francesca continued, wondering how long she would have to keep up the charade. If there was one thing that both her and Thomas knew, it was that people needed to ease their way into a new lifestyle, not run at it full blast. “Besides, a little bruising never killed anyone.”
“Oh, for sure. Most people can pull off black and blue rather well.” Thomas nodded, feeding the sarcasm that he felt the whole conversation was founded on. In reality it was a terrible idea, but he was fairly certain the both of them knew that. “How are your sessions going, by the way? You manage to convince any of your cheerleader friends to come and take some?”
“I’m so glad that you’re beginning to see the genius of my ways.” Frankie replied. “It’s an absolute fool proof plan. Haven’t you heard of ‘learning the hard way’?”
Thomas fought the urge to laugh again, instead nodding his head in agreement. “Oh, sure, yeah. Show ‘em how bad it hurts to fall and then they’ll be sure to pay attention. I can see how that could work.”
