We are. I'm currently the only admin and I just returned from vacation and didn't have access. But I'm back now!
I'm not new to tumblr but I've never really understood what role playing was?
It took me a while to get use to the idea as well, to be honest. I love writing so the idea of roleplaying fascinated me. If you'd like to know more, I'd suggest reading about it here, because I probably would do a horrible job explaining it. She helped me a lot when I started to roleplay. Feel free to ask if you have any other question, I'd love to help you the best I can!
Congratulations, Matt Fulton! You've been accepted.

Aurora knew that dressing for the ballet wouldn’t be too complicated. She could wear most of her normal clothing, aside from a big more jewelry and the heels she rarely got to wear anymore. She looked at herself in the mirror, tilting her head from side to side. For a moment, Aurora just stared at her reflection. There wasn’t a reason, or a thought going through her head. Well, maybe one thought, but she always had the thought of if Philip would like the way she looked running through her head. Even though Aurora knew he always thought she was pretty.
His words snapped her out of her trance and she smiled to herself. “Yeah, just a second.” Aurora was more then excited about the ballet. She had already been happy enough that they were here in Paris, that she hadn’t expected him to also have tickets for the ballet. Everything that was already wonderful to Aurora, Philip seemed to only make even more perfect. The way he knew exactly what to do to make her happy without having to ask her never failed to impress her. It showed that he actually did listen to her, and Aurora loved that.
She picked up her rose earrings from the sink and put them in her ears, then slid on a ring. With one last running her hand through her blonde curls and looking over her dress. Aurora opened the door to the bathroom. Her dress was simple, it was a thin material. Light brown with pink and orange roses on it. “Now I’m ready.” Aurora grinned and grabbed her purse along with her coat off the foot of the bed. It wasn’t hard to miss when she started to walk, as there was the oh-so-familiar clacking of her heels on hardwood. Aurora wouldn’t really admit it, but she missed the sound and feeling of heels on her feet. She was going to enjoy the ability to wear them while she could. Aurora put the white coat on then slung the strap to her purse over her shoulder, then smiled brightly at Philip. “Let’s go.”
Being the youngest of a family of six, Riley Thompson was often neglected and for most of his life, he kept his thoughts on this matter tucked safely away in a journal he kept under his mattress at home. During the day, while his parents were out at work or while they were occupied with some of his siblings, Riley spent time composing song lyrics or playing his guitar just for the sake of doing so. Riley spent fifteen years of his life watching his parents breeze through theirs without having the interest or rather the love to tend to their own children. “If you couldn’t handle all five of us, why did you even bother?” was all that could go through Riley’s head whenever he thought about this. Riley had gotten the most neglect throughout the years especially since after the third one, his parents just stopped caring to raise them. As long as the first two grew up to be successful businesspeople with stable careers, it was enough for them to ensure they would be taken care of when they got older.
Riley was one of those people who didn’t have to try very hard in school and good grades just came to him like he was a magnet. Riley received straight A’s in all of his classes before Thornridge and also signed himself up for a dozen extracurricular activities just to prove something to his parents. Behind all this reasoning, however, Riley knew just as well that he wasn’t going to be receiving any attention from his parents any time soon.
Even after going through such a difficult childhood, Riley always put on a positive face for the sake of those around him. If Riley hated anything more in the world spiders, it was seeing the expression of sadness displayed across the faces of his acquaintances. Because of this, Riley tried his very hardest to make sure that it never happened, putting on a brave face to cover up the neglect he’d been feeling inside all these years.
Sam Fray: Riley was always interested in current events and he was always found reading the newspaper. He had even found where Thornridge released their latest issues on their online website. Prior to becoming a Freshman, Riley had read almost every column, review, and article that had been published in every issue of Thornridge’s school newspaper. Having done so, Riley noticed that the name ‘Sam Fray’ had been mentioned many times throughout and couldn’t help but notice how well she wrote. As Riley was to begin his Freshman year in the fall, he would be sure to apply for a role in the school’s paper also as a reason to get closer to Sam.
Simon Daly: Being in the same music class as Simon Daly, it made it so much easier for Riley to relate to him. As the first weeks of school passed by, Simon and Riley found that they both shared a love for music. Riley with his guitar and Simon with his piano. They soon began to play with one another, composing new songs and harmonies that after a few months, they both agreed to perform at the annual talent show held at the end of each school year.
Jeremy Monroe: Jeremy was basically just the new kid on the block who lived across the street from Riley once he moved to the United States. It wasn’t until they got to know each other that they found out they would both be going to the same boarding school. Since they were a year apart, Jeremy would be going first but after his first year at Thornridge, Jeremy stayed by Riley’s side the whole time. They had grown incredibly close and some would even say they would go gay for each other.
Leon Blue had been always considered a fighter. At birth, he was diagnosed with liver cancer and fought it up until he was fifteen years old when he finally won that battle, forever killing the disease that haunted his childhood years. Three years later, Leon should have been able to look back at this and feel accomplished at getting past a huge obstacle in his life, but he didn't. Looking back at his life, Leon blamed cancer for taking over those vital teenage years, the teenage years that were meant for experiencing things and making their "firsts" for everything. While everyone else was out meeting other people and having their first kisses, Leon was either at home or at the hospital. He couldn't help but feel as if no one wanted to be his friend because he was different, because he had a problem. In fact, this was all in his head. Leon was really shy around girls but it was only because he thought girls wouldn't want to talk to him. In fact, once you got to know him and once you got him to talk, the hard part was trying to get him to shut up.
After spending most of his time on a hospital bed or in his room at home, Leon took up a hobby at simply the age of seven: painting. Experimenting from water colors to acrylics to oils, Leon knew everything there was to know about art itself. It was really a gift to be able to hold so much knowledge about a topic, but Leon saw it as a way to get away from everything, everything he’s had to deal with his entire life. Being able to add color to a canvas using a paintbrush made everything better through his eyes and that was all he needed to get through every day he was still here.
Even after defeating cancer, Leon hasn’t been able to win all his battles. One year before coming to Thornridge, his father passed away suddenly. He wasn’t allowed to know what from or even why he wasn’t allowed to know. The only thing he did know at that time was that he was going to boarding school, all alone, for the first time in his life.
Skylar Bennett: Leon couldn't deny the fact that Skylar was a little odd but it didn't bother him in the same way it seemed to bother other people. He was willing to accept the quirky sense of humor. He found Skylar much too polite to ask questions about the sickness that stole his childhood and he liked that. It helped him see that cancer hadn't actually ruled his life like he'd previously thought. People could still see past what had happened in his life if they truly wanted to.
Nicholas Huber: One day during Leon’s first few weeks at Thornridge, a group of girls had approached him and started teasing him for being so “socially awkward.” Nicholas, who happened to be walking past them at the time, felt obligated to stop and tell them to quit it. He knew what is was like to be an outcast and not accepted by his peers. Using his outer charm and confidence to shock the group of girls, they left Leon alone. After that day, Nick and Leon became very close. Leon was appreciative of his kindness and acceptance, and Nicholas felt relieved to have someone to talk to about his own hidden “awkwardness.”
