you are in a famous band and are rivals to 5sos but you have feelings for Calum
Your band had started making covers about the same time as 5sos, so naturally the two were compared all the time. Especially since you were in the same genre. A lot of fans wanted the two bands to collab and be friends, but there was a slight problem. The two bands are rivals. Which leads to a lot of smack talk, and dissing from each band. Normally this probably would’ve been fun for you, however you happened to have feelings for Calum. You knew deep down that it would probably never happen. It just so happened that both bands were assigned to play a festival right after each other. You cheered inside, and pretended to be disgusted on the outside for your bands sake, and to try to bury your feelings.
Due to all the rehearsals your band seen a lot of the other bands including 5sos. As the members walked by huffing, and sighing to prove their points you rolled your eyes. When you looked up Calum was smiling at you, and nodded as if to say he agreed with you. Calum ran back up with the other guys, and you followed behind your band smiling to yourself. You tried to cover your feelings again, knowing your fellow band mates wouldn’t be too impressed with you crushing on the enemy. Every day after that incident with Calum you would casually greet each other while your band mates put their pride up.
The night of the festival your adrenaline was pumping as you jumped around with one of your band members making the others laugh. When your bands name was announced you all ran on stage, and took your positions. You interacted with the audience as much as you could. At one point when you looked out you noticed 5sos were in the audience, and almost fell. You smirked to yourself, and finished the show. You and your band ran off stage adrenaline still rushing in all of you. You linked arms, and started walking around since it was outside. “Oh fancy seeing you guys here.” Your band mate said as you made eye contact with 5sos. “Yea did you boys come too take notes?” Another band mate chimed in. “In your dreams.” Luke retaliated with disgust laced thick in his voice.
Your band went to eat, so you seized the opportunity to go see 5sos perform. You put a hoodie on, and sunglasses hoping many people wouldn’t recognize you. You stood on Calum’s side knowing he wouldn’t hold it against you like the other members would, if they recognized you. Within a few minutes of them playing Calum recognized you and smiled widely at you. You smiled back and started dancing enjoying yourself. As they were doing the last song you snuck out, before your band started looking for you. When you met back up with them they were about to go on a walk, and practically begged you to join them. You felt bad about ditching them earlier so you agreed.
You were all walking around a local park when the sun began to set. You sat on a swing, and swang back and forth. Something about swings, and parks in general gave you motivation. It came as no surprise to your band mates when you had zoned out on the swing. “Looks like we may have another album in a few months.” One of your band mates teased making you all laugh. They had decided to head back, but you stayed at the park enjoying the night sky and faint breeze. You were swinging with your eyes closed before long, and suddenly felt a hand pushing you back and forth. You looked back to see Calum pushing you. “Hi.” He greeted you warmly before sitting in the swing next to you. “Hey! Nice set by the way.” Calum laughed before thanking you “I’m glad you liked it some of the fans weren’t so appreciative of it.” You laughed in understatement of the way some fans were. You continued talking about music, fans, and even the bands before there was a comfortable silence. You looked over at Calum, who was already looking at you. You started leaning in and kissed Calum. Calum was shocked at first but reciprocated a few seconds after. The kiss was cut short by a flashlight being shown on the two of you. You were just as surprised to see both bands together as they were to see you and Calum kissing. You both pulled back, and everyone remained quiet.
That night 5sos invited your band to watch some movies together. Your band agreed, and a truce was unofficially declared. You and Calum became an official couple a few days later, after endless calls and texts. You couldn’t be more relieved to have both bands friends, and to have the best boyfriend in the world.
