Lightspeed Saber fencing
My lightsaber form, keraunaegis, no shield technique.
I created my own version of a lightsaber form. Involving a shield. I figure it would work with a beskar or energy shield, even though I know Jedi really don't use those. I think it's just a super cool concept though!
This is obviously just the very basics in how to use it in actual dueling. There IS more but I wanna see how this one does before going on to do more videos on it.

Terminology:
A Duel is when you fence against an opponent.
A Match is each individual fight to the first point.
A Set is a group of matches adding up to the first five points.
Strike System:
Strikes are given when strikeable offenses are made. These involve breaking a rule that is put in place for immediate safety.
1 strike means you leave the match with a loss
2 strikes means you cannot duel for the rest of the set and you lose the set
3 strikes means you cannot duel for the rest of the day
4 strikes is a weeks suspension from the group
5 strikes is expulsion from the group
Safety Rules:
1. Do not hit above collarbone. This does not give points and is dangerous. Accidental illegal hits happen, but we will teach you how to make them less frequent!
Strike Rule: Making an actual attempt outside another's hitbox is a strikeable offense.
2. When dueling with a partner during training, always duel with a ref nearby who can ensure safety.
3. Either duelist can tap out by saying "time" at any point. The match will end in a draw if this happens. If they tap out of the set, the set ends in a draw. This is to ensure the safety of both duelists and can be utilised when either duelist is hurt, disoriented, tired, or otherwise can no longer fight.
Strike Rule: Failure to comply when partner taps out is a strikeable offense.
4. To ensure everyone's safety, do not in any way distract dueling members, including calling their name or saying "look". This is for safety, and is non-negotiable.

5. Always start a match with the "collar touch and tap." We will teach you how to do this, but here is a basic rundown - get in dueling stance. Starting with the taller opponent, extend your saber and touch the back of the other duelist (do not hit) where your collarbone is while in your dueling stance. Move sabers to match your hit box. Then, step back while still in your stance, keeping your sabers in line with the hit box, and tap sabers when ready.
Strike Rule: Failure to properly open a match is a strikeable offense.
6. All lightsabers must be inspected for damage and confirmed to be fully charged before each day.
7. The duel area must be checked for any hazards or obstacles before each match.
Point System:
Arms are 1 point
Legs are 1 point
Body is 2 points
First to 5 points wins
Dueling Steps:
1) Inspect sabers for damage and scan the area for hazards
2) Perform the Collar Touch and Tap
3) duel until the first point. Count all points.
4) Repeat each step in order for the following matches in the set. The set ends once at least five points have been reached. The first duelist to five points wins.
Safety Points System:
Accidental Head Strikes: Accidental strikes to the head or face equals automatic single point to the opposite duelist
Tapping Out: if one duelist taps out of a match, the match ends in a draw. If a duelist taps out of a set, the set ends in a draw.
