❝ … i’m sorry , but i can’t do much to help ya “pick up some hot chicks & go on tons of dates .” ❞ a bit taken aback , the blonde was … pretty annoyed with the question . was being a nice person really that rare ? no one even had a crush on him- at least , that he knew of . god this was frustrating …
ever since he could remember , he had been labeled as a womanizer for his good looks . honestly ? he could probably blame his father for this too . people who knew their family often stayed away from the oldest son in fear that he was like his father . that was disgusting . he would NEVER go around to hook up with anyone . it was against his morals . even when he was being nice to FRIENDS , they thought he was trying to get something in return . he had to have been cursed or something .
rubbing his head , he looked to the side & attempted to calm himself . he didn’t mean any harm but … he seriously hated being mistaken for a playboy . ❝ if ya wanna find a girlfriend , then i guess … just be yourself an’ be nice . that’s what i do . ❞
This didn’t go well , not at all . Maybe he should reconsider his approach ? He swallows his words ; lips purse outwards , & in that moment , one can only wonder if he knows that he looks just as stupid as he feels . What an odd reaction to get , to feel certain disdain on a topic that Kuwata would pride himself on . Hand comes back , scratches at the back of his neck as he tries to tread around the subject -- ( maybe he should first focus on making friends before taking out girls ? ) -- not that he’s ever one to tread lightly . His words resurface , not a shred of consideration taken , mere grins & playful jabs of both mental & physical caliber . A shoulder raises , & he bumps his side into Amami’s ever so gently . He has never been one learn from his mistakes .

The compliment is genuine , a genuine attempt to salvage the best of a situation gone sour . God , was he really trying ! Despite this , he still does try to press on -- for he had his own motives for trying to get the advice . Kuwata cared not for the family history of the boy , nor his kindness -- no , he had no real knowledge of either . He merely saw the piercings , the certain demeanor that Kuwata respected , envied , or both . Thus , who else could he confide in for such a situation , to pick up hot chicks & go on tons of dates ?
The words of the boy are meticulously processed , hung onto as he spoke . Grin falters into a dull frown , mouth slightly agape , all it took was kindness ? How underwhelming , & he’s quick to vocalize it .
“ That’s it ? No gifts , no wingmen . . . Not even a cool new dye job ? ”
He wanted the advice , actively sought it out -- yet , now he wanted to give it his own two cents . Arms cross over chest , & a tiny huff an exhale leaves his lips . This was not what he expected , not that he knew what outcome he wanted . He’s quick to get more fired up , passionate about the topic he argues .
“ That's obviously not all there is , you have to impress a girl to get her to go on a date with you , you know ? Anyone can just be nice ! You need to stand out somehow ! ”
( There is a certain irony to this situation that Kuwata has never considered . )
