"I've been thinking about you all night."
Thranduil grinned at the other, arching an eyebrow. “Oh really? What kind of thoughts, hm?”
Glorfindel hummed gently and tilted his head towards him, breathing his scent deeply. “I was trying to remember your smell…” he admitted with a low voice, nuzzling his hair. “But nothing could come close to the reality.” His hands followed the curve of his ear to slide on his cheek, stroking the soft skin.
"My scent?" He asked softly, tilting his head back to look up at the other. "And why would you want to remember that, mellon?" The king practically snuggled into the taller male’s side, a soft sigh of content escaping him. "Honestly, Glorfindel, you are much too easy to well.. Feel at ease with, for someone of your height, and.. Well, you know very well the stories that have been told of you." As half of them were true, Thranduil thought to himself. At least half. If not the entirety of the stories.
At his words, Glorfindel clearly hesitated. Since he came back from Valinor, so bright and full of his second life, everything was different. He was a legend, a hero and people often used that as a way to put distance between him and them, and he often felt… lonely. “I just like the way you smell…” he explained quietly. His sense were enhanced with his second life, which made me even weirder. He rested his head on his and tightened his embrace around him. “I know what people are saying about me but…” he sighed, looking away. “I’m not… well, as different as they want to make me.”
Thranduil pressed a gentle kiss to the other's cheek, sliding his hand down to take hold of one of the other's. "Do not worry.. I don't often mind what people say, or listen." He murmured, his lips still pressed to the other's cheek. "You are a dear friend, and you can take in my scent whenever you like." He said with a soft laugh, pressing another sweet kiss to the other male's cheek.
forestdxughter kindly sod off and leave greenleafthranduilion alone. They don't want to talk to you at all. They've already sorted it; you stole the basics of their starter.
ilmaharan yeah not the sharpest tool in the shed
ilmaharan not only did they steal it they literally used it to send it to the person they stole it from
ilmaharan someone stole a friend's starter. Loud sigh.
Legolas had planned this moment perfectly. His father was a creature of habit, and walked in the garden daily, generally taking the same path each day. And now, hidden among the leaves of a tree that overhung said path, Legolas could see the king coming, on his stroll as usual. Waiting until the perfect moment, Legolas hooked his knees over the branch he was on and swung over, upside down as Thranduil passed under him, swiping the crown from his royal head and disappearing back into the leaves.
A rather loud, and clearly irritated noise left the king. “Legolas!” He shouted, looking up into the tree. “Return my crown to me, or you shall learn to regret it!”
"I can stay there as long as I like. I am king." He smiled softly at the other, holding his hand out to him. "Come here, my son."
Legolas echoed his smile after a moment of hesitation, placing his hand in Thranduil’s and taking a step closer. “I look forward to our departure.”
"We will leave tomorrow.." He smiled, pressing a gentle kiss to the back of the other's hand.
You know what's shit? Stealing people's starters, and doing a HORRIBLE job of retyping it. Omfg. The laziness.

"Perhaps.. We could venture to Imladris together, and enjoy each other’s company. Play as we once did." He smiled softly, biting down on his lower lip. "If that is okay, with you.."
Legolas dared to lift his eyes then, hope shining in them just a bit. “But…you cannot leave the kingdom for long, can you?” he asked, daring to hope now that his father had offered to give him the carefree love he had craved.

"You are the crown prince. If you wish to have fun, perhaps you should do so outside.." He murmured, his eyes softening slightly. "Look, my son, I love you dearly. And I wish I could play with you as I once did. As a king, however.. I cannot afford..to look foolish." He looked down at his feet, a loud sigh leaving him. "I wish it was simpler.."
There were so many things Legolas wanted to say, wanted to argue with Thranduil about, because Legolas did not think he was correct in the least. But the prince stayed silent and did not lift his eyes, for he knew that the emotion in them would betray him.

"I expected more of you," he said as he took back his crown. "Now that you have matured, I thought you would have put away your childish games. Perhaps I put too much faith in you." Thranduil replaced the crown atop his head, his eyes focusing upon his son, cold and distant.
Legolas shrank into himself a little, wringing his hands behind his back once they were free of the crown. “It was only a bit of fun…” he said quietly, taking a step back. “I am sorry…”

"I don’t have the time for this. I will see to it that your old nurse maid is reemployed, since apparently you need one." He then made his way back into the castle, muttering under his breath about how children were the most irritating of creatures.
Legolas frowned, peering out from the leaves as Thranduil walked away. That wasn’t how he had planned this to go. As a child, Legolas had vague memories of Thranduil chasing him right up into the trees, smiling along with his childish giggles as he frantically tried to escape his father. Now, it seemed impossible to draw Thranduil into that sort of play. Chastised, the prince dropped out of the tree and went to the castle, approaching Thranduil cautiously when he found the king. A few leaves were stuck in his hair from his climbing, though he didn’t know it, his eyes on the ground as he held out the king’s crown.

Thranduil grinned at the other, arching an eyebrow. “Oh really? What kind of thoughts, hm?”
Glorfindel chuckled and joined Thranduil on the couch, sitting next to him a little closer than decent. He rested his arm on the back, his fingers brushing his long pale hair. “Oh, it had been a long night so really… every kinds of thoughts.”
Thranduil sighed softly, laying his head on the other’s shoulder. “Would you like to expand on that?” He asked, moving himself a little closer to the other, not really thinking about what was ‘decent’.

" ‘Return my crown or you shall regret it!’ " Legolas mocked in an exaggeratedly prude tone, his resulting laughter becoming slightly muffled as he climbed higher into the tree, well out of Thranduil’s reach.
"I see. You wish to play." Thranduil hummed, slowly walking around the base of the tree. "Should I..have your bows taken?"
A gasp, clearly overdramatic and sarcastic, could be heard from the leaves in which Legolas had disappeared, followed by more laughter and a bit of rustling as Legolas moved from branch to branch.
"I don't have the time for this. I will see to it that your old nurse maid is reemployed, since apparently you need one." He then made his way back into the castle, muttering under his breath about how children were the most irritating of creatures.
Sometimes I think people don't understand just how many "Thranduil's wife blogs" have followed me/tried to interact with me. Really, I only interact frequently with one of those blogs, and that's because the mun took the time to ask me if it was okay. And explain her character. I'm permanently stuck on my phone, so I can't read your abouts. I can't read your headcanons. And I honestly don't want to try to scroll through your blogs on my phone to read your interactions to see what I think. If you're not willing to plot something, put effort forth in actually you know -- expanding upon your basic character (also she's not an OC, just to make that clear. You didn't make her up. She did exist. You're just filling her out.) then why bother trying to interact with me? I mean, if you're not going to put forth effort, why should I?

"Is that so?" He asks, not looking up from his papers.
"Are you alright?" Calathiel asked softly.
"I'm fine. Why do you ask?" Thranduil still did not look up from his papers, his voice flat, and bored.
