This is my first post in this series Stitch for the soul. In this blog you can learn how to cut and stitch simple elastic baby skirt. Here, I have used a saree blouse piece to stitch this beautiful pattu pavadai for my 2 year old baby girl. However, I have given the formulas in order to customize the same for children’s at different age. The concept of stitching is the same for pattu pavadai as well. The only difference is in the type of fabric we choose. I hope this video will be useful to you!

Calculations for Elastic baby skirt: 

Hip Measurements = waist measurement * 3 times                

Skirt Length = Desired Skirt Length + Bottom Seam + Seam Allowance               Skirt Width = 3*waist measurement + 1 inch for seam allowance
