Ohatsu was a prostitute who fell in love with a Soy Sauce seller called Tokubei.

It's a great love story that encompasses forbidden love and tragedy.

About 20 minutes walk from Osaka Umeda is a shrine to the lovers.

The shrine has been here or hereabouts for the best part of 1,300 years. Around it the city has grown and changed over the centuries. Today, it sits in the shadow of high-rises.
