Aris chuckled darkly.
The words cut deep, sure. But Chuck already knew all of this. He was useless, just a s l o p p e r. If anything, he was a hinderence on Thomas being the best he could possibly be. But still, Chuck didn't cry, or turn and run. He might be the last person anyone would want on their team he might know how no one wanted him around, but he wasn't a shuckin' wimp.
"That's not true, and you know it. Thomas is my friend."
