                     EVER BY HIS SIDE , and ever loyal as always . Such a gesture , so noble and kind , made the young King’s rose - hued lips pull into a smile .  ❝ You know fully well you do not have to bow to me .  ❞ Somnus whispered .

                     HIS TONE WAS ANYTHING BUT PLEASANT but Somnus had been raised better than that by Gilgamesh to [ [ b e h a v e ] ] when beyond the walls of their home . He [ [ l o w e r e d ] ] his crystalline eyes from the chandelier above his head down to the boy who was speaking to him . He gave him a once over with his eyes then delivered him a short nod .

❝ I will wait for him . He and I are [ [ v e r y ] ] close . I’m certain he wouldn’t mind me making myself comfortable .  ❞

Whether Nox liked it or not , he was GOING to make himself comfortable . Without saying a word , he brushed by him with a few clicks of his heels along the floor and made his way into his brother’s office . 

‘ It always smelled like that of a staled blood . . . ’ He thought as he sat in the chair behind the desk and waited for his brother to arrive .

                   SOMNUS LOOKED UP from his book over at Aera . He gave her a soft smile as he decided how he wanted to answer her question . 

❝ I like . . . Roses . Red or white . . . [ [ B l a c k ] ] . . . Any of the sorts . I like black orchids as well  . . . But the flower I tend to be drawn most to are roses . ❞ He placed his book mark in his book before he adjusted how he was sitting . 

❝ Why do you ask ? ❞

                   Somnus’ crystal blue eyes softened as he looked at his brother before he sunk into his seat . ❝ A story . .. ? ❞ He thought about one , shifting in his seat . ❝ Once upon a time . . . There was a lovely girl who was the size of a rose . She was light , warm , and smelled of flowers . . . Brown hair longer than a dream , and green eyes as bright as grasp . Her name . . . was Aeris . Beloved by all , she always found herself shedding light on those who need it .❞ He hummed fondly as he thought about the girl in his story . ❝ One day . . She found herself in the Prince’s garden . The minute he saw her . . .He fell madly in love . Every day , he presented her with new flowers to represent his feelings for her . . . and every day , she left him messages in the dew drops of her returned feelings . .. ❞

What in Eos was he doing here? Regis bows to the other as his heart starts to beat fast. “My Lord…Whatever brings you here, if I may ask?” And why now during all conversations? How embarrassing. 

                    Somnus mused as he began to walk around slowly , admiring his family member from afar . Was he a ghost ? Was he real ? That was for dear Regis to figure out for himself .  ❝ I am merely curious as to . . . Your level of urgency in your kingdom’s current state that you are more concerned over the state of a silver fox than  you are of the war beyond the walls . ❞

Taking hold of the hand in his only one, the man gets on his knee by him. “And yet you seem in a well mood. I am not complaining, I am just curious as to what brought your mood up Your Majesty…”

                     His eyes followed his Shield as he lowered himself down to him , smiling softly at him .  ❝ I am found , my Shield . Found and accepting of what my life has become . I am pleased to have you along by my side . As you always have been . ❞

                     Somnus looked at the green apple in his hand then the boy speaking to him . He rose an eyebrow as he smirked softly under his breath .  ❝ You know . It is rather impolite to question the relations and activities between siblings . ❞ And , on that note , he threw his apple at Nox’s head .  ❝ I’m much more entertained now . Thank you . ❞
