Tea for Two
throughthestitches.
“Of course I do. It is still horrible to think you have a hand full of bodies to examine when you report in for the day. It is better less than a lot. Fortunately we never had too many bodies to look at. That’s great,” he smiled, “but sadly police work involve so much of it. I feel sad that there are some people up there that processes all the paperwork. Poor men.” he shook his head.
“Ah, that sounds good. I believe you have a great talent to become a baker too! I mean, I’m very impressed with your skills,” Stitch mused, “I like a lot of things about my job, hmmm, to be able to cut open people? That sounds weird… Um, biology had always been my favourite. That combining with solving a case sort of tension is great. I hope you understand.”
Stitch laughed embarrassingly and pour some tea for Sawbuck and himself. Hoping to distract himself from the awkward moment.
Sawbuck scratched the back of his head and awkwardly chuckled. It wasn’t as though it was an uncomfortable or touchy subject, it just wasn’t exactly every day that he wound up discussing dead bodies over tea. “I honestly don’t really know how you could do it all day. Cemetaries alone still really get to me.”
The squat man’s awakward chuckle, however, soon turned into a genuine laugh though, when Stitch brought up the potentiel to become a baker. “Thank you! I think that’s kind of funny though, because i probably would’ve been one if i hadn’t met Lady Calliope! I used to be an apprentice baker.” He smiled. “and i can understand that! I’d lie if i said a successful bust wasn’t at least a little bit exciting!” He picked up hi stea cup to take a sip, before pausing, “What sort of tea did you say this was again?”
He saw Sawbuck’s expressions and felt a little embarrassed.
“I’m sorry, it surely isn’t something we want to talk about right now, eh?” scratching his own head, he followed, “I supposed I just like that enviromen- damn it, I always make myself sound like a creep.”
“I have to say it is a shame that you haven’t tried that. I would be dying for some of your product if it is a thing.” he shook his head, “Successful or not, you already have a customer here. I guess it would take you a while to fit in the industry but with someone like you, nothing is that difficult.”
“Oolong, why?”

“Hey, that’s not nice,” he shook his head, “not even if you don’t hurt anyone,”
Heard that, he turned around to look at Draconian closely.
“You do look scary… shame that they wouldn’t get to know you,” he turned back idly, “I think you are nicer than you think!”
“Yes I have, since I was a legal adult.” he had a light chuckle as he answered. He could remember all the stuff that happened. “I’m not all that impressed about coming out to the city at such a young age, but it was a great experience for younger me.”
He did not talk for too long after that. It was all him walking to the office and giving his speech about why he should take a break. He didn’t back down until he was given what he asked for. Maybe the presence of the other man made him a little more desperated.
Usually the Dignitary would have gone out of his way to make it known that he was not a nice person. But this felt like a special case. Maybe, he thought, it wouldn’t be so bad if this one person was allowed to think he might secretly be someone decent, even if that line of thinking was incorrect. It made things interesting.
The area where he found himself waiting while Stitch secured his time off was poorly decorated and not much to look at. The carpet was dotted with what looked like burn marks, possibly the result of ash falling from a cigarette, and the walls were a boring beige color. So, really, he didn’t have anything else to do but listen in on the medical examiner as he–surprisingly forcefully–demanded that he be allowed to leave the office for the day.
With a thin, twisted smile the Draconian Dignitary walked beside his new friend as they left the police building. “I’m flattered,” he said, “that you would put so much effort into spending time with me. I’ll have to find some way to pay you back for this. A gift of some sort, or maybe dinner…” It was probably going to be dinner, and that dinner was probably going to be somewhere fancy. “But we can decide on that some other time. Do you have a car or are we taking public transportation?”
At last, he was granted to leave the building, and happily led the other man out.
He had faced the other man as he seemed to be observing the environment. Stitch looked satisfied, and walked over in just a few steps.
“There we go, they are great negotiators.”
The two left the building, and that was when he tried to get back into the conversation.
“Daww’, no worries. You already bought me something.” he had hope it would never get him in trouble because of the ‘negotiation’. He looked quite worried, but that was it. “My house is close, we can walk there, unless you are not in the best conidtion?” he looked at the arm of the other.

That is quite rude of them to say, don’t mind them.
I won’t, but it really was, wasn’t it?
They really shouldn’t have stick their nose in this.
buckingcrime replied to your post “Anyone wanna grab dinner together sometime?”
I’d be up for it!
When may you be free then?
Does tomorrow, or sometime during the week sound alright? Myschedule’s pretty clear as far as after work is over,
Sure thing. Say, tomorrow afternoon?
What do you fancy eating?
That works for me!
And i could probably go for anything, what are you in tje mood for?
Something eastern, maybe?

“I’ve gathered that. Yes,” he said, sounding unfocused. Perhaps it was just him acting a bit odd on these topics.
“Tu-hm. I will go get a pass and see if it’s possible,” he scratched his head, not exactly sure if he was completely convinced. Maybe somewhere in his heart he just wanted to spend more time with this carapace and take him around. “And well.. just leave the bodies alone is fine.”
Then he turned back to walked towards the stairs leading the other man up. The pass procedure wouldn’t take too long- what he guessed turned out to be true. So he would have to carry a bag of his paper back home with this alien behind.
It was funny consider he was an alien himself.
“Just let me know if you need me to intimidate anyone into getting you your pass,” he almost sounded a little hopeful when he said it, his hand sliding into his pocket to tap the top card of his inventory where he kept his gun. “I won’t hurt anyone, of course,” the Dignitary said, anticipating Stitch’s issue with his offer. “But I’ve found that, sometimes, having sharp teeth and the look of a murderer can really help speed things along.”
The stairs weren’t so bad during their ascent, due largely in part to his pressing curiosity about the finer details of the medical examiner’s house–and the promise of getting to inspect those details very soon. “Have you lived in this city long?” He asked in an effort to keep the conversation going, after all one never knew what sort of information might become useful in the future.
“Hey, that’s not nice,” he shook his head, “not even if you don’t hurt anyone,”

I’m finally back to work! How are you?
That’s great to hear Stitch! And i’m doing pretty good, thank you for asking! I got to see some Family again for the first time in a long while!
That is great to hear! I doubt I’ll be doing this any sooner. Gulp, the pressure.
You taking Russet with you?

Um, good day.
I’d say evening. Lovely, is it not.
I supposed. How are you doing?
I’m completely fine physically. How are you, sir.
Physically huh? I’m good, not exactly good physically but… In a good mood at least.
Yes. I’d say mentally, but… I’m not supposed to talk about that. At least your mood is positive. That’s a plus.
Let’s leave what you’re not supposed to say then. Yes, but it is a great I convineince since I had this accident. Anyway. Which timeline are you from, I am guessing you’re one of the Diamonds?
Good idea. What happened. AsylumStuck. And yes, I am a Diamonds. People don’t call me that usually though. I already know you’re a Stitch.
Asylum. Something I'm quite scared of. Yes I'm a Stitch, call me that. What would you want me to address you as?
