On June 3rd, 2011 in the city of May Creek, Washington. A girl by the name of Rachael Miller was found dead in the woods behind one of her friends house. Nothing incriminating was found near her body but a few miles away in the woods, a knife was found along with gloves but there was no finger prints, nothing. As if no one had touched her at all. Of course, all of her friends were taken in to be interrogated about her death or if they had any idea on why someone would want to murder her. Sadly, none of her friends knew a thing about anything. All they knew was that everyone was at Julian Reeds house party, a day before they found her body and that was the last time anyone saw her.
Rachael Miller; How do we begin to explain her. The girl wasn’t your average popular girl as you would think. She was actually sort of unknown that was until she started talking to one of the most popular boys in town, Julian Reed who got to know her and started introducing her to everyone else. She was making her way to the top, forgetting old friends and making new friends which also meant making new enemies without even knowing it.
Before the murder of Rachael, May Creek was the place to be. Everyone was happy and would go on with their daily lives. Every citizen knew everyone, well of everyone so the gossip would travel within hours around town. After Rachael’s murder, in fear of it happening it again, not many people left their houses for months. It’s been a year and four months since Rachael’s murder. The investigation has stopped, the police think that the murderer left town after killing her. Her family was outraged when they found out that the police would stop looking into her case, they want to bring in the person who killed her so they could serve their time but they’ve lost all hope. No clues, nothing. At least that’s what they think.
The day of her anniversary being gone, her “friends” starting getting texts from an anonymous number about her murder. That’s when they found out that their actions had led up to her death but none of them told their parents because of how afraid they were. The texts they get have brought some of them closer while it’s torn others apart. Some think it’s a friend of Rachael who murdered her, others think she faked her death and others think that this person who’s texting them is the murderer and that one of them is going to be next if they make a wrong move.
Rachael did not fake her death, none of her friends murdered her but it is someone in town who envied her and just wanted her gone. They’re back now and they’re going to do some serious damage because they know things that not everyone knows. Everybody’s secrets aren’t safe anymore.
