tesblr can't die because its been almost 15 years without a main game release and there's bitches (me is bitches) still drawing their favorite elder scrolls guy every damn day of the week like its a full time job
This one is about the contrast of beauty and pain, nerevars inner conflict of having to prioritize his goals of becoming king over his adoration of voryn, about nerevars past and why he does not want to be in love, his fear and trauma, about voryns dedication to nerevar and attempts to comfort him even when he does not understand him, the tenderness between them. The strip on the left is hard to understand if you dont know my headcanons, but it is supposed to be nerevars past "lover"
I also just really wanted to draw nerevar in pearls, i usually portray him as quite a traditionally masculine character so i wanted to make something different this time. This artwork may look a bit different because i decided to use yet another different brush on this and the process was quite messy, i never did the lineart stage. I kind of dont like how messy the anatomy for nerevar is, atleast it always looks wrong to me, but whatever
Yes i did say last time im gonna work on Sil and yes i did infact get distracted
God yes, more Serana art please!! Also yessss, less Serana is awesome, do consider Ace Serana too! The way she dodges romance sometimes made me feel seen :'}
Hehe I always draw her :) I was inspired by her human past, when she was a princess, and wanted to draw like that, but then realised that the dress looks like a nightgown... So I changed the topic and drew her just sleepy on the couch :D
answering a prompt from @myths-of-tamriel bc i need to think about clothing for the trio!
Question of the week: What do they wear?
for their traveling/base clothes, they each have their own color scheme and tastes that they gravitate towards, which i think will remain largely unchanged in the grand scheme of things. this got long so i'll be putting it under a readmore but i ♥ character design/costume design :3
Emeros - a hunter and alchemist blends in with the landscape better in neutrals/greens, therefore he gravitates towards those colors: fawn/beige, browns, and sage green. his outfit is comprised of a fawn-colored shirt, a green vest, a larger strip of brown fabric with a thin, leather belt over his waist (a colovian style of dress based on clothing in the beyond skyrim mod), brown trousers tucked into his boots to avoid ticks, and hunting boots. he also has a few earrings which he acquired throughout his time traveling (mostly in high rock though), notably his star earring that dangles from his right ear. his cowl is often worn around his shoulders when he's more relaxed, but after many years of traveling, he wears it up on the road to cover his head as to not get a nasty sunburn anywhere above the collar of his shirt. were he not on the road often, i think his tastes would gravitate towards finer pieces of clothing that reflect both his upbringing in a wealthy family, and his personal style centered on natural imagery and the plants, fungi, and animals he's studied in his time. i think he would have a lot of specific plants embroidered on his clothes if he were able to, but being on the road means that he's cautious to wear anything particularly eye-catching, whether that be patterns or adornments. i also think in the future he'll acquire a liking for jewelry featuring bones and teeth of animals he's hunted, as he tries to use every part of anything he hunts when possible, and uses the leather often for his own projects or to sell for some coin. he might even wear gemstones or crystals, but i think the practicality of those accessories has to be weighed against the beauty of them. ultimately, his wardrobe reflects a deep admiration and entwinement with the natural world, both on a mundane and magical level.
Wyndrelis - his destination was winterhold, and his palette in general reflects that. he's always going to be wearing some shades of pale, muted blues, black, silver, and accents of gold here and there. primarily, his wardrobe remains in monochrome. his clothing not only blends him in with the mages and the wintry clime, but turns him practically invisible among them, able to disappear in the crowds, matching his want to be left alone to do his own thing and focus on his own pursuits. he wears a muted blue shirt, a dark blue capelet with gold, waxing moon clasps, a blue belt with a silver star fashioned after the symbol on the spell tome that's been in his family for generations, dark blue trousers, and black, fur-lined boots. he wears gold-rimmed glasses hes enchanted to remain in place, and in general dresses in a way which indicates a want to fade into the background of the college. unfortunately, in most other places, he sticks out like a sore thumb. muted blues don't exactly blend into whiterun or solitude - definitely not solitude with the bards college and the blue palace. i think in some way this symbolizes an unconscious desire to be noticed and even recognized, mainly for his work as a mage, especially as he gets further and further into his goals and passions and gains more respect from the mages he later works with and studies under. if he wasn't traveling, his wardrobe would change very little, maybe incorporating more pieces here and there for different elements and times of year, or enchanting some robes and cloaks and jewelry for different purposes, but ultimately he wouldn't wear anything just for style reasons unless the occasion absolutely called for it. like emeros, he came from a wealthy upbringing, but unlike emeros, he did not gain a taste for the finer clothing that coin can get someone.
Athenath - a bard needs to stand out a little, and that's what athenath tries to do, albeit to mixed success in some places and utter failure in others. a light, cream-colored tunic that is too long for him, red trousers that are too short, and a red suede vest that is both too short and too big for them that they probably cut the end off himself. he wears a belt around his waist and boots that go up as high as emeros', and an amulet of mara around his neck. since they're a bard, they wear light clothing that both allows for a range of movement, and is breathable enough to be comfortable for long stretches in differing weather conditions and drying off at the fire of an inn. they have a red cloak they keep in their bag unless needed, and use as a blanket sometimes. i imagine their outfit is one that they cobbled together from bits over time, potentially starting with the shirt and then gathering the rest of the elements as needed, and the fact he's been a thief since childhood helped in this venture. he probably stole the vest and/or his trousers from someone's belongings one time or even from a shop, and adjusted them as well as they could. tbh i think the boots were one of the few things he actually purchased, mainly because poor-quality shoes on the road is hell, and hunting boots tend to be a good fit for any traveler. the amulet was a gift from a friend years ago before he left bravil, and is the last physical reminder they have of home. i envision that if they had the chance to wear whatever they wanted, their clothes would be more flashy and much better fitted to them, both in shape and in personality. red would still be a consistent color in their wardrobe, but i think he'd wear more accessories, or layer his clothes with more precision to give off the impression of having an idea of what he's doing. i think as the story goes on, they continue to change their outfit out of necessity, until they look genuinely put-together while still remaining ready to travel at a moment's notice, as has been the case since they were a teenager. athenath did not grow up with money, so they have a habit of wearing anything they own until it can't be worn with any decency anymore, and i don't think this habit will change even when they become more financially secure.
as for armor, i think the trio overall will acquire pieces throughout their travels. their current armor is from bleak falls barrow, taken off the bodies of bandits, but i foresee them acquiring actual, fitted armor, emeros' gear specifically being leather and lined with fur, the leather potentially being from an animal he may have hunted. i think athenath would use jack chains due to them being light, easy to move in, and effective at blocking attacks with weaker weapons when taken by surprise (such as by bandits or even assassins), and wyndrelis would gravitate towards armor that wouldn't conduct electricity, considering one of his main spells is lightning bolt lol. his armor would have to be enchanted as well to withstand his spellwork and to provide benefits like regenerating his magicka or deflecting other types of magic. tbh i think he'd also enchant the other's armor for purposes related to their fighting styles, but that's another topic
anywayssssssss this prompt was so fun to think about and fill out, thank you for posting it!! <3
one thing abt emeros is that hes very handsome which means he can get away with a lot using those big brown eyes of his which means we should all be grateful he hasnt started killing and maiming yet

also its kind of important i start designing them other outfits bc their designs change throughout the fic and i need to visualize what that'll look like
Hi everyone! I'm Shania and you might know me for my Daggerfall OC Vyctoire. I'm making this post because I want to see if there is interest in the TES fandom for a Big Bang event!
Not sure what a Big Bang is? That's okay! It's basically a writing challenge where authors try and write a certain amount of words within a set timeframe. For example: 25k words and 3 months. Participating authors are paired up with participating artists who will make an illustration based on the fic in progress. These teams will then have their fic and art posted and promoted by the moderators of the event!
Here are some examples of Big Bangs in other fandoms: (x) (x) (x)
I would be looking for other individuals to help mod the event as I cannot do it alone. So I would like to find out who is interested in such an event and what role they would want to fulfill. Please fill out the form linked below. You can also respond to this post with any questions or concerns or send me an ask with anything you might want to say!
i like when fiction treats love as a more complicated force and not something that is inherently pure or redemptive. portray it as flawed and complex as any other human impulse. give me love as prejudice, love as possessive stasis, love as addiction, love as blindness, etc.
