Unsurprising but still upsetting that this whole thing was originally about Taylor defending artists’ right to their own work, Taylor explaining the betrayal and the complete exploitation by two men — one whose greed made him turn his back on his first client who is the reason he has the status he has, and one who had no reason to buy her music (since he’s constantly tormented her) other than out of spite—, the fact that she begged for the chance to buy it and wasn’t given it when it was HER blood sweat tears and literal heart poured from pen to paper for the last half of her life that was in these masters, and instead the people trying to come for her have minimized this all into some kind of “Taylor Swift, why are you being mean?” bullshit. Imagine if people just let women stand up for themselves.

I really think Taylor might truly, finally not give a shit. She knows what can she just opened. She’s openly liking tumblr posts directed at people, naming names. She’s always made who she’s talking about clear but today is a whole new level. And she wouldn’t come at the same cohort of people who caused a lot of what she went through in 2016 again she’ll get a different result.. I really think she truly doesn’t care. I wouldn’t wanna be on the other end of that haha

She’s already been dragged through the mud and had everyone spit in her face. I wouldn’t give a fuck anymore either. She’s already hit rock bottom. If you’re going down, go down with a fight. Go big or go home. What’s the big deal? They’ll call her a liar again? Call her a slut? Have her naked likeness in a video? She’s been there.

Taylor is such a smart businesswoman and has proven time and time again that she knows her worth and what direction her career should go in. To believe people, that she just walked away from all the work she’s ever made without blinking is to not know how much she values all of those life lessons, times in the studio, tours, etc. her music is so much more than money. It’s her truth and that’s priceless. She deserved the option to own them.
