Tis better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.
Days into the new year, we found ourselves in a tricky situation. I was adamant on my decision to live without. But he convinced me otherwise. His love and strength became the source of my courage to face whatever trials and fiery condemnation I knew we would soon face. Made in Japan, I called it. And I grew to love this little thing we had. It was ours. Him and I. I and him. Until it was no more. And now my heart aches with the loss of it. So tell me, is it truly better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all?
I’ll see the light. Someday. Maybe.
