"That’s why I told you not to follow me, you shithead,” Harper muttered as he caught sight of Vance’s expression. The fear of others wasn’t something that deterred Harper. If anything, the fear that came from other encouraged Harper to step up more - his confidence (mixed with arrogance, of course) was bolstered by the fear came off of Vance. “They’re not friends,” Harper said as he turned to face the attackers, “I was in the middle of doing a fucking job to make sure these assholes didn’t get here first and you got in the way, Vance. But I do gotta thank you, man.” A grin cracked on Harper’s face as he nodded. He shook his hands out, held them to the side and he smirked, “I am going to make them explode. It’s just what I need.”
Harper threw his hands back, his palms opened aimed behind him. As he jumped into the air, he activated his powers - the moisture that emitted from his palms crackled for a moment before they exploded. The recoil from the explosion sent Harper forward, sailed him across the air as he twisted himself to land the kick at the attacker’s face. When the kick connected, Harper twisted to the right - his hand balled into a fist as he threw it at another goon. Once the punch struck, he opened his palm and pressed it against the attacker. Without a passing second, he let the explosion commence. As he busied himself with fighting, he stole a glance over to Vance. He maneuvered himself into landing before he said, “Yo, thunderfuck. Shock them or something.”
Insults never hurt, not when Vance could curse himself out harder than anyone else could - forgiving others was easier than forgiving himself for the mistakes that he made. Harper was far more confident in himself and his skills. Vance envied him for that. He winced as Harper yelled at him. His eyes narrowed as his lips sharpened into a frown. Vance retreated but stopped when Harper let out that smirk. The tightness in his face disappeared as his expression relaxed. "Blow them up, Harper!" Vance cheered him on as he took a step back. He knew what it meant when Harper threw his hands back and the last thing Vance wanted was to get exploded along with those people.
Of all the people that Vance attended Altimira with, Harper was always one of the best fighters he'd ever come across. It was so crazy how Harper could just beat people up with a blink of an eye. Vance clasped his hands together, cheering at his friend until he heard the command. Shock them or something. "Right, right," Vance said as those words reminded him that he was also in this situation. He clapped his hands together as he reached for the bright red headphone that hung around his neck. In a quick movement, he put the headphones on and took the chord into his mouth and bit down on the metallic insert; with his headphones turned on, he could hear the music start to play and now, it was his turn to join the battle.
Vance clasped his hands together then rubbed them together until the bright electricity began to crackle between his hands. He smirked as he said, "1.3 Million Volts." It wasn't really 1.3 million volts, he couldn't keep track of that, but he knew it was a high voltage. With the electricity crackling between his hands, he pulled his arm back before he chuckled the ball of electricity right at the attackers. He winced but gave Harper a thumbs up.
