Watching my favorite Christmas special, I noticed that not all the newspapers Santa had were in English, but one special one was in Japanese. It is just perfect that the first time I realized this was when I was in Japan :P I have seen this every year probably since I was born, and I JUST noticed this amazing moment. He even drew special attention to the Japanese one. I can't get over this guys!
Why is it that, whenever I need someone to talk to the most, NO ONE is available to talk to me? I know its mostly my depression talking but, its moments like these where I feel like: Why bother?
Day one!
FINALLY!! CLASSES HAVE BEGUN! Today was day one of classes and I actually enjoyed myself a lot! My Japanese professor is really sweet, well, one of them is, I haven't met the other one, and my into to international communications professor is American! He is also really funny. He asked me to speak and give my opinion on something though and I spoke a little too fast in English for the other Japanese students! He had to sum up what I said a lot slower for the other Japanese students. Guess I talk a little too fast. Oh well :P I think I am going to enjoy school here, I hope so at least. So far so good :3
Life
Not every moment in Japan can be amazing. Today just happens to be one of those days that makes me sad. It is good to know that I have some friends still willing to help me. I know he doesn't see my blog, but thanks a dozen Montana for cheering me up when it's 2:30 in the morning there.

Japan so far
Ok guys, so far Japan has been amazing! I have done so many firsts! Today I rode the train home by myself! I was really happy! I also saw my friend Anna who graduated from UVM in 2012! She brought me to a Sailor Moon musical in a theater in Tokyo! It was amazing! It was an all female cast, but it wasn't Takarazuka. At one point the actors went into the aisle, and they were literally right in front of me! It was so cool! The effects and lights were amazing, and so was the acting! The plot was really easy to follow too! Even though I didn't know everything they were saying! That is not the only new thing I have done this past week. My friend Paulo and I went drinking with a bunch of other friends, led by my friend Yuya, and it was my first time drinking at some sort of bar! I also went with them the next day to eat Sushi, then my friend Paulo and I split from the group and explored Shibuya, it was a lot of fun! The place is beautiful, night or day. (I really like night time though) We went into the Disney store, and it was about one of the most magical things I have ever seen! I ate at a Japanese McDonald's today but... the chicken sandwich I got was really gross... too greasy and it really didn't taste like chicken at all! Overall, Japan is becoming fun! But it isn't without its faults, for me at least. It is so hot out, and I am still jet lagged. I am also very dehydrated and overly tired. It has also been hard for me to eat for some reason, probably getting use to a new schedule, and the trains are confusing. The language barrier was REALLY overwhelming at first, but overall I am getting the hang out it! Japan, THANKS FOR BEING AWESOME!
While traveling Shibuya with my good friends Paulo and Yuya, and few other new friends, I kept receiving ads and tissues from random Japanese people on the streets. I am going to guess that they weren't really random people however, but you get what I mean. I got a few more then Paulo did. They really targeted us foreigners though. This is weird, but I kind of like being foreign, its so new to me! I had a lot of fun in Shibuya though!
A while ago, before I was even accepted in the exchange program my friend Amanda and her fiance made me watch an American remake of the Hachiko story, it was a pretty good movie, and at the end we were talking about me possibly seeing the statue if I went to Japan, and if I did I needed to take a picture of it. When I saw this statue it almost brought tears to my eyes, because it made things so real for me. I had finally done it! So I had to take a picture of Hachiko! The picture isn't the best, but I did the best I could with what I had.

Rocking orientation day with a cute updo... that you can hardly see! After yesterdays humidity, I decided my hair needed to be up! I just noticed how thick and long it was getting! :P

Magic
When I was little I use to think that when the clouds covered up the sun and dimmed the natural lighting that it was magic, and when the clouds moved from the sun and it was brighter it was also magic. In my mind we lived in a wonderfully magic world.
I might have a nail obsession. Just maybe. These are my going away nails. Less then 24 hours till I am on a plane, so I might as well do one more fancy nail set to go :P They are suppose to be Cherry Blossoms.
New glasses. These things won't be worn as much as my contacts, but I figured they would appreciate some love :P I finally got them, cutting it close, two days before I leave!
