Hi! I’m Tick. I’m a Pagan eclectic forest witch who works with Bastet. I’ve had experiences with spirits all my life, specifically a shadow person who was malicious in a way. You can find out more about that here. It doesn’t document all of my paranormal experiences, but certainly some of them.

I’ve been practicing witchcraft since I was very young, though I went mostly by instinct and didn’t do nearly enough research to truly be safe. I did Mayan spells, gave offerings to the fae; everything I could thing of.

I have a ghost who lives in my bookcase named Harold, and I’m currently investigating the malicious spirt of a deceased convict in my basement :D. 

Other than that I've had experiences with three demons, including who I’m about 90% sure was La Lorena. So that's fun.

I've always had a connection with Witchcraft, but I’ve only started officially calling myself a witch about a year and a half ago.

I am genderfluid with fluctuating pronouns, so I prefer to go by They/Them unless told otherwise. I am Pansexual, Panromantic and my main account is @madame-mothe

Since moving into this apartment my gf and I have had strange occurrences.

Our dog would constantly stare at this one corner, even literally dropping her toy and walking over to it to stare. We tried to play it off as being close to the door, but it was clear she wasn’t staring at the door.

We also have had random times where someone knocks on our door and when I go to answer it nobody is there. I would get up and go to answer it and in less than 2 minutes nobody would be standing out there.

One time I answered the door and someone was actually there. This old lady was standing there and asked if Elliot lived here, which wasn’t the name of the past two tenants. She told me that she had been trying to find him and I apologized and told her I don’t know anything about him and I closed the door. She was acting sort of weird and off and I wasn’t sure what was going on.

In our room, one time I had turned off the light and the switch flipped back on its own. I had already walked from the switch and there’s only one to the closet.

The other day my gf was coming out of the bathroom and I was hiding to scare her behind the wall. She called out “I can see you” when she hadn’t even left the bathroom yet and I was confused because I couldn’t even see her yet. When she came out she walked towards that corner again and then was shocked when I asked her how she saw me from behind her. She said she thought she had saw me run over into the corner area. It couldn’t have been any sort of light/animal/anything because the room in front of it is completely empty.

I’m just looking for help because we’re growing a bit anxious about this situation. I’m one to be skeptical but I’m seriously worried about it.

That definitely sounds paranormal. I suggest burning sage, putting up pentagrams (with the star upright not upsidedown) and using salt in the more active areas of the house. If this doesn’t work or it gets worse you may want to go to more drastic measures such as banishment. I wish you luck my friend, blessed be.

It sounds like you're likely clairvoyant, clairaudient, and clairsentient! There are quite a few ways to contact spirits, but I would /not/ recommend Quija. Quija is basically a partial possession; the spirit possesses your hand. If you're dealing with a trickster spirit, this can go bad quick.

What I'd do is use crystals that would assist with tuning the vibration towards spirits and do a spell to contact them. Anyone can do a spell, but if you're going to contact spirits I'd recommend setting up a ward first.

Some stones that can help with spiritwork:

- Apophyllite

- Labradorite

- Moldavite (you're likely clairvoyant and this would help you evolve those abilities if you were interested)

- Amethyst

- Selenite

- Charoite

- Apophyllite

- Black Tourmaline (protection)

Anyway, I'd light a few candles and bring these stones and some chalk/something to make a circle with into a location you know has spirits.

First you'd make a circle; this will make your energy rebound of the circles edge and get stronger as long as you focus on that. Explicitly state that any being with intentions to do any sort of harm to you are not allowed inside. Don't say "bad intetions" because what qualifies as bad can be up for interpretation.

I would also surround the circle with the stones you bring, though stones definitely are /not/ necessary.

If you'd like to address a specific spirit, I'd bring a few things from their life and put them in the circle. After that, focus on the energy around you and try to remember how you felt around the specific person you want to communicate with when they were alive. Not just the emotions, but the energy. Focus on that, and then say that spirit's name.

I'd recommend doing this in a location the spirit was familiar with. Also, try to refer to them with pronouns other than it/its unless they used them in their life or asked for you to refer to them with that.

This isn't an ongoing thing, but I'm so curious. I've been thinking about it for a long time, especially recently. When I was around 3, I woke up very late in the night, and there was a shadowy figure by my bed. I wasn't scared of it, but confused. I asked "dad?" thinking it was my dad.. I think it had resembled my dad slightly. It spoke to me in my dad's voice. "(name), go to my room." I got up and walked to my dad's room, and my actual dad came out of his room. Whatever spoke with me wasnt him

There’s a number of things they could be! A trickster spirit, a shadow person, a demon, a hallucination, etc. From what you’ve described, they were most likely a trickster spirit of some kind that took the form of a shadow person. Shadow people are entities, not always spirits but most likely that.

What does set me on edge is how they mimicked your father’s voice. If it didn’t do anything after I’m unsure of what it’s intent may have been. Did you ever feel drained energetically/spiritually/psychologically as a child? If it was feeding on you, that’s how you’d know.

Other than that, without more information I can’t really make a proper guess, just give some options.

i have approximately half of a peanut for a brain, shell not included, so i cant remember if i ever posted about this before

but cursed tumblr (@biggest-gaudiest-patronuses) brought this memory back

lately ive been having the most FUCKED UP dreams. theyve been revolving around this one specific man thats making me feel like im in the god damn dishonoured video game with The Outsider and shit.

so a few nights ago i dreamt i was in my room. some things looked a little off, but i knew where i was. i wanted to go flying since i was aware i was dreaming, and i tried to stick my hand through the wall to phase through. instead i was shocked and pulled back from it.

then a man appeared in my room, and my door slowly creaked open. polar bear cubs were outside and he told me i had to be careful as entities would try to lure me out. he said if i left the room, things would attack me and try to steal my physical body. for some reason, i was still attracted into following these cubs though. but as i got to the door, they turned into writhing black snakes.

he said again how i needed to be careful until he could figure out how ive been getting to where i was. im not sure what he was talking about, but he made it clear that i wasnt in any realm or dimension or whatever the fuck that ive been in before. i can astral travel too so ive been in a few places.

then he urged me to go back to sleep in my bed so i could wake up or i'd be attacked. immediately i laid down and fell asleep.

but then i woke up in another dream. i was back in the same room but he was gone. there was a dark figure outside my door, so i immediately shut my eyes and forced myself asleep.

when i woke up in the real life, i was choking on air and it felt like my heart was being stabbed. my door was open too just like in the dream. i ALWAYS close it when i go to bed so my cat doesnt run around and cause mayhem. but even with it open, she was just sitting right in front of it, looking out into the empty hall

If you can astral travel you probably know the basics, but that is a very powerful entity if it can get into your dreams. You might want to look into who the man is and what his relationship with this creature is. He might be your best bet at safety.

So I was trying and failing to make a joke about throwing the lamp and I’m sorry. I honestly thought that the light inside it was staring to burn out but it seems fine now.

I’ve had a few experiences that I can’t explain. Lights are sometimes flickering in my apartment building and fine the next second.

Then just last night when I was trying to go to sleep I felt my blanket lift up a little off my leg. I wouldn’t have been too concerned if I didn’t sleep with a weighted blanket.

I’ve heard it’s not a good idea to invite spirits into your home or really acknowledge them at all.

Do you have any suggestions?

Well, I wouldn’t say it’s a bad idea. Here’s the thing; if you haven’t felt negative affects, both mentally OR physically, chances are they aren’t leeching off you.

Acknowledging them gives them power; sure, but you’ve already given them power by recognizing them as an existing entity, whether you’ve said it aloud or not.

I’d say, just tell them to not come in your bedroom or spaces you don’t want them in. Do you have a room you don’t use much? Tell them to chill there. Spirits are people, just dead ones. Chances are, this spirit just kind of wants to chill.

If you really want them gone, I’d suggest getting some sage and burning it to do a cleansing. Imagine a white light coming from within you, then expanding outwards around the house. As you feel it expanding, imagine the spirit being pushed out. Focus on the fact that no entity can enter the house without your permission.

Any sage should work, really. It’s all very good for cleansing. The most important part is your intent. You could always just kind of ask them to leave; that’s what I’d do first.

And if they don’t leave then you can get out the sage and other tools.

I would invite them to communicate with you by finding a spot in the building and relaxing. There are stones you can bring to help with communication, such as amythest, labrdorite, smoky quartz and clear quartz.

I would not do Quija because Quija involves a partial possession and that can potentially be very dangerous.

I would so some research on the patients. You might want to leave offerings, for instance, if a patient had an affinity for books you might leave a book there.

Now, spiritwork can be dangerous. I'd reccomend bringing stones like black tourmaline, amythest and and obsidian for protection.

In addition, if you start noticing that you're beginning to feel sick, there's a chance a spirit is leeching off your energy. To prevent this, imagine a white light coming from within you and then around you, protecting you. If done right, focused and intently, you'll be able to protect yourself from most entities by setting up a ward.

I'd also say, don't refer to the spirits using "it/it's" pronouns. They're people; just dead ones.

So, there is a ghost that haunts both of the girl’s bathrooms at my school. No one believes us, but that’s beside the point. Every Halloween if a girl goes to the bathroom, she will see glowing red eyes on the walls of the stall. All the rest of the year we hear creaking and whispers when we’re alone. Also, you can hear a mother and daughter talking if you’re alone. Please help, I’m going back this autumn and I need some advice! Thanks in advance, any help will be greatly appreciated. -Kat M⭐️⭐️

Hmmm, since this is in a school that complicates things.

I’ve removed spirts from schools before but you will need to have a good 20 minutes of free time to do it. 

Unless you are willing to talk to her and work things out, I suggest getting a cinnamon stick and drawing a pentagram (right-side-up star!) in multiple places around the bathroom, also try some protection spells if you are comfortable with that. It doesn’t leave a mark if you don't push down to hard so don’t worry. Then leave the cinnamon stick in the bathroom where you hear her the most

If you would rather work with her, try to set some boundaries, and don't let her scare you. Spirits feed off fear, your only giving her what she wants

Glowing red eyes? That’s not good. Spirits usually don’t appear like that, but the world is vast.

If these spirits aren’t hostile, I wouldn’t recommend doing anything really. But if you feel drained when you go near the room you might be getting your energy eaten. Not all spirits eat energy, but some do.

I’m less worried about the woman and child than the red eyes. That’s putting me on guard.

I’d say, look into the history of the place. See if there were any deaths on campus, especially in the bathrooms.

To be safe, I’d set up a ward.

Imagine a white light coming from within you, then expanding outward and around you into a sphere with you in the center.

Nothing can enter this ward; you’re safe inside it.

Items that can help in this situation include:

my ghost keeps on saying "hello" and "goodbye" over and over and it's starting to get kind of annoying but I don't want to be rude.

If you want them to stop, just ask them to stop like you would with any other living person. Maybe tell them to go to a different area of your house and say it there as a compromise?

Have you responded with saying “Hello” at all yet? That might get the spirit to stop.

Hmm, while I do not know for sure, I would like to say that you may be a medium my dear friend! Someone who is intensely connected to spirts and the dead!

I suggest trying to contact with these spirts, and maybe do some research on how to safely astral project if that’s something you would be interested in :D

Then set up a ward. To do this, imagine a white light coming from within you. Imagine it stretching around your body into a sphere. Nothing can get inside it.

Tell it to leave. Be extremely clear in your words that you DO NOT want it there.
