Tictactoe was a favorite pastime of one of my peers in high school. He was always up for a game with people around him when they were free. Not only that, he excelled at winning while his opponent was preoccupied. Now I'm wondering if tictactoe methods can be used in the study of game theory.

In a 3 × 3 tictactoe game, two players alternate drawing X and O's on the board. As soon as a player accumulates 3 points in a row, regardless of which way they're facing, the game finishes.
