Legs sway from atop his perch, with violet eyes trailing after a familiar face – watching him walk with quiet regard, clueless to his presence. Joshua figures they were due for an re-enactment of their first meeting – something synonymous to a reunion, that isn’t quite one at all (dreams were fickle in that manner, since they’ve never quite met in the waking world). Regardless of what it was, Riku is walking off for far too long – narrowly out of Joshua’s grasp. Thus, Joshua smiles, and chuckles aloud.
“ Wooow, Riku–– not even a hello…? “ comes his call, legs crossing as he props his chin against his palm with a curled grin, “ that’s a little harsh, don’t you think? “
Usually, Riku was fairly adept at his surroundings, but hearing a particularly familiar voice did stump him. He was on his guard, thus he couldn’t help but stiffen a little, eyes darting this way and that before eventually looking up and behind him, to a corner where a figure was sitting, as though their mere existence had only just took some form, a silent as untouched water. It had been some time - Riku didn’t even want to begin to think of how long. But, as weird as it felt to be regarded by Joshua again, his smile came before Riku even thought to, something natural and warm, in spite of how he used to be. It certainly had been some time.
“Joshua,” Riku said mildly, as if they’d last spoke only days prior. He raised a hand to subconsciously rest at the back of his neck. “Hello.”
Conversation wasn’t ever his strongest suit. Still, there was something surprisingly reassuring this time round. As if as much effort wasn’t necessarily required. “Mm. My bad.” He lowered his hand. “I didn’t really expect to see you here again, so...”
