Hi, Niku! I was wondering if you knew if the Japanese character files also say that Sora met Kairi the night of the meteor shower? I started reading the files and this stood out to me since the memory in the games don’t imply that Sora and Kairi met that night. I know the files are official material from square enix so I’m trying to figure out the accuracy of the translation since this would change my understanding of COM

Hello!! I don't actually know what the JP text says for that off the top of my head nor do I have access to them (maybe somebody seeing this does?). But I do remember the part you're talking about and remember talking about it on stream one time.

It's a very odd little line showing up casually at the end of a summary as if it's old knowledge and NOT the first time that's ever been said lol

So, I'm not sure if it was somebody summarizing and mixing up their memory possibly with the Manga, which does have Sora discover her on the beach but seemingly the next morning or simply getting a factoid wrong? But everything else we've known about the event has been pretty clear that she showed up that night and Sora and Riku met her later (ala kh1 flashback cutscene "Hey the new girl at the mayors house, did you hear? She arrived on the night of the meteor shower!")

I remember there being something else in the ultimania that stood out to me as pretty factually incorrect though I can't remember what it was. So I've just chalked it up to whoever was writing the summary flavor text getting their wires crossed juggling a lot of information. If something else came about corroborating it then sure, but as it stands it's one odd sentence in the face of everything else we already know? So (makes I don't know sound)

I'd also like to say that my inspiration for drawing this Sora was the artist Suzushiro! Whose entire shtick is drawing Maids Skateboarding and I recommend everyone check them out.

Y'know I really wish I had art to post just for the sake of it, but truly the only art i've actually been making or finishing HAS been my merch so. What can you do.

That said I'm very happy with my merch! It's not like its any less art I worked hard on and I have lots of ideas and plans I wanna do! I think it just has a lot of barriers between finishing it and putting it online yknow what I mean? So I guess I just miss dropping doodles or whatever and yellin with people.

Anyway thank you everyone who sticks around and likes my stuff however infrequent it comes out I always appreciate it 💕
