lore context:

their first of many battles takes place during the Dark Age. a newly Risen Optimus enters the ranks of Iron Lords and is sent to confront a certain Warlord, who is intent on annexing the Cosmodrome for his Decepticons through any means.

being pre-Vanguard era, there are no standards to supers. i assume every Risen chooses to manifest their Light in their own way — and felt solar and void were the most fitting elements for optimus and megatron, respectively.

I've been thinking about this skybound AU for a long time which is WHAT IF Megatron and Optimus fell into Earth together, got captured by the Cobra-la, and escaped together through cooperation

Like instead of Lazerbeak being Megatron's eyes, what if it had been Optimus? Co-dependency oh yes oh yes... Very toxic, but they'll get around! Your red eyes through mine, and blues in yours.
