A light still shines
With this Laudna cameo especially, I'm so encouraged to see the tide of opinion slowly change on Bells Hells; it really is a great campaign if you don't have a small collection of people in your ear telling you it sucks cuz it didn't fulfill their fan theories and/or contradicted their personal opinions on Exandrian lore.
I have my own mostly minor critiques just as I do the other two campaigns but all three together have such potential to become a great fantasy trilogy if Amazon has any sense at all (plus the additional EXUs and one-shots etc), and I'm so impressed at how the shows have managed to weave together the story so far especially as it was still being developed for much of LOVM and M9 Animated.
Hopefully we can all band together to get a Bells Hells season confirmed and as many miniseries as needed to get the full story of Exandria animated.
let her have it, she’ll be responsible
Is your Dungeons and Dragons character too happy? Are they too settled into their life and thusly require some kind of personal tragedy to motivate them to leave it and take up a life of adventuring? Try Primus Tachonis!
Primus Tachonis is an all-purpose personal tragedy creator sure to spur your character to adventure specifically so they can get his ass. Whether you need an old money asshole muscling in on an institution beloved to your PC or an evil sorcerer to slaughter their entire family Primus Tachonis has the magic and the social station to create whatever tragedy is required to serve your backstory.
Primus Tachonis is so versatile as a backstory tool he has professional D&D players raving:
Primus Tachonis killed my character's best friend and now she has to figure out who she is without him! -Laura Bailey I wrote a light backstory because I was still feeling out the setting and my dungeon master used Primus Tachonis to turn my brother into a statue! -Travis Willingham Primus Tachonis is trying to take over my character's magic school and endangering her students, and she will not have that! -Marisha Rey I had intended my character to have a tense but ultimately repairable relationship with his father, but then my DM used Primus Tachonis to rip his skull from his head. Now my character is on a quest to kill every member of Primus' noble house! -Matthew Mercer My character was a happy and established local playwright until Primus Tachonis had his little brother executed. Now he's taken up the sword again in his brother's stead! -Liam O'Brian I needed someone to murder my character's wife and daughter and my dungeon master suggested Primus Tachonis, and I couldn't be happier with the result! -Robbie Daymond Even works on members of his own family! -Alexander Ward
So don't miss out on the one-man solution to forcing your character to feel the call to adventure, try Primus Tachonis today!
its actually crazy to me how much the Halovar family's whole thing resembles Sam and Whitney's entire play style *so well*
The whole insidious thing about the Halovar's is how wrapped in this air of 'harmless and foolish' they are. YES they are a Sundered House and they are rich and magical, but I mean, come on. We're living in a world where the gods have been killed, and now they are true believers of this 'Light?' What the hell is that? Most sane people with an eye for politics can see the game they are playing, or at least think they can.
And every scene we see them in, that is reinforced in some small capacity even at the same time you can see the depth to it. You meet Fileonous and whats your impression? Big guy with scary dogs, but also loud, clumsily oafish in demeanor and speech, the type of dude you don't think has a lot going on. The demon sisters are *scary*, they're fucking demons, but our first look at them in combat was hilarious and disarming, because clearly they were stumbling through the dark!
You can recognize that yes, there is skill, there is power here; but I think ultimately it is disarming in how god damn funny and disarming they are because they're Goofs! Most of them are goofy as hell! Just like how Sam and Whitney have been playing the funny guys, upping the ante in each scene together with Tyranny and Wicc's stumbling through.
Except, obviously, when it's time to *lock the hell in.* And then suddenly you have the Grandma of Manipulation, pulling divine strings that nobody would have EVER known about if she hadn't told Wicc. You have fake resurrections, deals with demonic entities selling the souls of who knows HOW many people across Araman, *biological experiments with angel blood,* and the dedicated grasping fingers wresting control over arts, minds, and bodies through Dol Mak'jar.
Until you see Tyranny and Wicc stumbling home after being told by everybody on repeat that they are screwed because they are (seemingly) fumbling in every conversation and then they pull a god damn HOME RUN in tricking the manipulator.
Sam and Whitney are 100% the people who you know have the skill to take you out at the emotional kneecaps, but yet you never see it coming until they are having Nat 20 conversations without the roll of the dice.
The Halovar's are not the threat you anticipate, until you find out how they are seeping into every corner of Araman and see Yanessa Halovar standing over her fake religion and producing *devote belief.*
INCREDIBLE how Brennan and Sam and Whitney have created a whole ass family that so perfectly reflects Sam's number 1 surprise in every campaign; the comedy relief with surprise teeth.

Yet another M9 member at level 20! Caduceus has easily one of my favorites color palettes, so this was extremely easy for me. I also diverged from the original design the most for him, but I still think it suits him! Wanted to make the beetle part of his theme more apparent so more armor more bug armor pieces were added (he gets a cool horn! and wings as a cape!) without ignoring the pink fungi growing everywhere. The Rapunzel ponytail and the pastels make him look like some kind of My Little Pony cowman and honestly I’m completely okay with this.
