Hey, guys. I’m afraid I’m going to have to drop Larxene, Sabin, and Larsa for now. A lot of personal things have come up in the past few days that I really have to deal with. And, another thing is, I haven’t been online as much as I should be and I feel like I’m hogging the characters. Hopefully I can come back to role-play with you guys in the near future, but right now I must go. Sorry to leave your McNuggie cravings unsatisfied.

Mydia was sitting on the other side of the tree. Clearly out of view from the other hume. Her ears twitched and stood on end as she heard footsteps coming. She looked around and saw no one and assumed that the person was on the other side of the tree.

The book in her hand closed shut, a finger becoming a book mark. She waited till the footsteps stopped so that she could feel at ease once again. Instead she heard the other talk as he sat down. She hated how her curiosity could get the best of her, she got on her knees and crawled to the other side, her head and shoulders peeking out.

“Put off what? If it is okay for me to ask.”

He jumped slightly at the sudden voice to his left. He turned to her and gave her a wide grin. "Hello, Mydia! You gave me quite the scare, eheh!" He scratched at the back of his head for a moment. 

"Studying for my classes. I always tell myself I'll get to it but-- I always get... sidetracked, you could say." He shrugged, chuckling.

He plopped himself down under a tree, staring down at the books he set down. He just sat there watching them for a few moments. He chuckled to himself, "Guess I could put it off a bit longer, huh?"

For HS week Sabin is still the lovable oaf

except he fails most of his classes

Merlwyb tilted her head as she briefly considered his words. A monk? Like those of Ala Mhigo? They weren’t common in Eorzea; she only knew of the Pugilists in Ul’dah’s Platinum Mirage. They were mere brawlers, with none of the discipline of the fabled monks.

“I see. I don’t often get to meet with one. Do you travel often, Sabin? Adventuring, maybe?”

Perhaps he was even one of the adventurers. Though she couldn’t recall her name, that outstanding soldier in the Maelstrom’s ranks came to mind.

He nodded, "It is boring to train and meditate in the same place all the time... I love to find new places with new creatures!" 

He smiled in fond memory of his journeys. Although he hadn't find a place to train in MoogleTown. Then again he hadn't had much interest in training since he had arrived to the strange place. Though he did often explore the town.

She felt inclined to return his smile, and the corners of her lips moved up just a bit without her notice.

“And what of you, Sabin? Do you hold a title as well?”

He considered this for a moment as he pressed his lips together. He didn't often mention his affiliation with the Figaro Kingdom. He felt it would incline people to act different around him, more uptight and proper. A pang of guilt would also cross him when he mentioned the Kingdom as he had left it all on his brother's shoulders. He decided, for the time being, it was best he didn't bring it up.

"Wouldn't exactly call it a title," he pressed a thumb to his chest, "but I am a monk!" Which was the truth, of course.

“Same to you, how are you, sir?” She smiled and shook his hand back.

"I am well! Very well, actually!" He nodded in agreement with his own statement. "And yourself? I hope you're the same as I!"

“Sabin’s the name!” He held out his hand to the other. “And what of you, miss?”

Enthusiasm such as his was refreshing, amidst all the subdued introductions she had been carrying out since a few hours ago. Shaking his hand firmly, she returned a small smile and a nod.

“I am Admiral Merlwyb,” she said simply, “and it is a pleasure to meet you.”

"Admiral?" He blinked in surprised, then gave a wide smile, "That is quite the title! It's an honor to meet you, as well, Admiral!" He inclined his head for a moment.
