These newly found Indonesian cave paintings may be the worldâs oldest
Archaeologists have long thought human paintings originated from Europe, where the earliest known cave paintings were created 40,000 years ago. But a new discovery has turned this theory on its head and could transform what we think about the origin of art.
Theyâre changing the history of art | Follow micdotcomÂ
what if the paintings we find on cave walls arent of the cavemenâs gods, but just cave teenagers shitty ocâs
My camera really doesnât do them justice, but here are just a few of my favourite two-page spreads in the art book.
You have all of one ask to completely shatter my character. Make it count.
He watched her flip the beast onto its back, wondering just what creature he was staring at. He did admire her, though, for getting the creature down so easily. âNo, itâs not food. Why would it be?â
She grunted as she twisted the bear owlâs head, just in time to miss its snapping jaws. âPuh-lease,â she sighed, rolling her eyes.
Regarding the stranger, she laughed. âNot him, I meant you. He was gonna snap you up ââ                         werenât you, Thud?â

So far the head and feet ratio isnât really working out in her favor ââ but sheâs small compared to most of the animals. Whatâs most striking about this creature is the way it blends into the night. Even waving around her torch only shows her the occasional eye or patch of flesh where there furâs stopped growing.
All she knows to do now is throw back her head and roar.
"Yeah, sheâs got life in her veins, she donât need no rescuing; sheâs okay."
it is so important to me that there is never a scene in the croods where eep is like âuh oh i have to pretend iâm not that strong or else guy wonât like meâ. in general she never fems herself up -- because she already likes flowers and pretty things alongside being a buff pint sized badass. A well rounded female character, whodda thunk it?
Why hasnât everybody seen The Croods
Why isnât everybody talking about The Croods
Itâs so pretty
Itâs so beautiful
The main character is voiced by Emma Stone
Sheâs shown as equally tough and badass as her father
And it isnât joked about itâs just fact
Its main message is thAT CHANGE IS GOOD AND âWEâVE ALWAYS DONE IT THIS WAYâ ISNâT A GOOD ENOUGH REASON TO KEEP DOING THINGS THAT WAY ANDÂ EVERYBODY CAN CHANGEÂ AND OH GOD
FOLLOW THE LIGHT
I DONâT CRY AT MOVIES AND MAYBE ITâS JUST BECAUSE ITâS 230AM BUT MORE LIKELY ITâS BECAUSE ITâS AMAZING GO WATCH THE CROODS DO IT DO IT NOW
rewatching the croods for the umpteenth time and right after guy gives eep her boots and sheâs clinging to him and grugâs all âwoah, woah, WOAH.â guy is just really cute? âwoah, okay! sheâs up, iâm up. weâre good, weâre good.â that really cute girl was not just all over me -- HEY GRUG!
zero regrets.
but I mean she like, she really would
okay donât get me wrong, all the fan art of guy giving eep piggy back rides and what not are cute and all but, come on. eep is his buff muscle gf and would totally be the one carrying him everywhere.Â
