Potent minimalist art sends a strong message about police and vigilante brutality in America
Journalist and artist Shirin Barghi has created a gripping, thought-provoking series of graphics that not only examines racial prejudice in todayâs America, but also captures the sense of humanity that often gets lost in news coverage. Titled âLast Words,â the graphics illustrate the last recorded words by Brown and other young black people â Trayvon Martin, Oscar Grant and others â who have been killed by police in recent years.
Let us not forget their voices

WHY EATING SEASONALLY IS IMPORTANT
â˘save money - food is at itâs highest supply
â˘food is better - it is grown closer to home so less likely to rot
â˘support local, sustainable farmers
â˘more environmentally friendly

y/n sat in the middle of the bed she shared with jonathan. Her heart heavy and her cheeks stained with tears. She couldnât describe how she felt other than numb. His infidelities didnât hurt her anymore. She  couldnât even count how many times sheâd seen a picture with him with some random instagram baddie, while scrolling through her feed. It hurt because none of those girls looked anything like her. she didnât have that perfect body that he had a habit of showing off on social media or in his music videos. It felt like she was hidden away, like he was ashamed of being with her.Â

yâall really making da baby fanfics... yikes.
one thing i truly genuinely despise about this site is that after we are so often presented with fictional white women doing objectively, obviously, blatantly racist things in the name of âempowermentâ and âfeminism,â woc spend months to years spoon-feeding everyone explanations on said racism. but there will STILL always be that group of white feminist bnfs who make a meta about how this character is a âradicalâ or something and then that becomes the new take, the woc are now nonsensical violent misogynists for debauching all the radical iconic legendary feminism we are too close-minded to see, and white women who identified with this character remain comfortable with the unchallenged racism in their own lens. they really do systematically and transparently use the language of feminism and activism and social justice to shut down any critique of racism.
i lost my grandmother today....... itâs the worst time for this because we canât even mourn properly. my gram deserves better than this
my beautiful aunt has started a GOFUNDME for my grandmother during this difficult time. my family is in shambles. all of us still arenât working due to the pandemic and trying to figure everything out. my grandmother was buddhist. she will be in the temple where monks chant their sutras that help transition her soul into another form (life). sheâll be cremated afterwards as she wanted but we need help funding her service and unfortunately, it will be on LIVE streaming.. no one will be able to attend to say goodbye đĽşđŁđđđ
i know a lot of people are mourning too right now because of the pandemic. my grandmother passed from cancer in her liver, and an aortic aneurysm. i donât want her soul to suffer into another life.... we really need help to fund her service đ
please please please please share this and if you can, donate to help my family to give my gram gram a proper service đđ˝ i loved her so much and iâm going to miss her forever â¤ď¸

kinda fucked up how society teaches that âitâs not fairâ is a whiny and childish emotional response to have. what a good way to gloss over the fact that things need to change until they are fair & that distress is a valid emotional response to injustice
âBut thatâs not fair!â Holy shit, youâre right, kiddo. Letâs do something about it
I made some depressing âgrowing up autisticâ memes
And yeah this is for the adhd peeps too
