Look I did a thing!

I wanted to say thanks to everyone who's been following my crappy instagram photo journey through grad school on this blog so far, seriously, thank you. But! I have made a blog *just* for my textile print work! It can be found here!

I don't know how often I'll be still posting to this here blog (sorry blog, you were so good to me), so I guess please join me as I move on to newer things. And probably a lot of the same old things, just with a better understanding of photoshop and illustrator.

Scrapped the "too spoopy" design (fer now), and went "sedated but pretty" instead. Really, I just want to draw braids all day all the time.

Assignment: draw a bouquet of flowers. I may have gone to far this time for reals. Also pro-tip: cutting out pictures of girls' hair and pasting them in your sketchbook is a really quick way to appear mentally unstable to your classmates. #designschoolisnotartschool

Song # 18 Heavy Bangs All The Girls

This is the best cheat possible. No, I did not write this song but instead of recording my own stuff tonight, I was asked to record a demo for the best new band in Philly, Heavy Bangs. We tracked instrumentals live and then Cynthia and Laura did vocal overdubs. I think it sounds awesome and I’m selfishly stoked that I have this to listen to. 

If you are interested in seeing the bangs live, they are participating in Philly’s First Time’s The Charm, in which 17 or so bands play their very first shows.
