no no no im seeing the vision here. trigaze doesn't let vash do anything. it's going HEAVY on the lack/loss of autonomy for vash and the plants. he was backed into the corner and CHOSE. CHOSEEEE to kill. and he didn't get to do it. hoppered pulled the trigger for him. he didn't choose that. he doesn't get to choose who lives and who dies and he never has, but in this iteration, he doesn't get the choice of anything. he's always responding when the push comes to shove, but narratively, he has no autonomy. the one time he's tried to make an irreversible choice, he gets that taken from him too. I am SEEING the vision

The differences between the 3 versions of Wolfwood from the manga/adaptations and how they act towards Vash in particular are really funny to me.

a silly little AU (calling it "No Fall") that I came up with for Trigun StampGaze. Further notes below the cut!

This AU stems from the idea that Nai never caused the Great Fall, and Project SEEDS went on without consequence. However, instead of settling down on a planet, they ended up remaining on the ships for the next 150 years.

As Nai and Vash grow up, others are awoken from cryo-stasis, since the cold sleep method to keep the body alive begins to result in neurological degeneration without explanation if it goes on for too long. Proper civilization emerges on the ships as a result.

William Conrad eventually leaked the information of Tesla's experiments to the public in a bid to prevent it from happening to the Plant Twins. Ultimately, the experiments were voted to be unethical by the majority, and the scientists responsible were imprisoned for it. This is the biggest reason as for why Nai never initiates the Great Fall.

As of the present, Rem is biologically 89, while chronologically around 150 years old. She's getting close to the end of her life, and is preparing Vash and Nai for her own passing.

Nicholas D. Wolfwood volunteered for an experiment to fix the imperfect method for degeneration in cryo-stasis. However, he is accidentally sent through a forced cellular aging period, and now looks 30 when he's closer to 18-19 years old. He is then inducted into the Eye of Micheal, a religion that worships Plants as gods and led by Legato Bluesummers.

Meryl Stryfe is a fourth-generation crewmember (junior engineer) working as a damage logger for SEEDS05. She and her cohort Milly Thompson investigate reports of ship damage and record the extent of it, as well as the steps taken to fixing the issue. Her boss is Roberto de Niro, is a second-generation crewmember.

(they are not necessarily chronological to the events in the au, I’ll just be drawing what scenes come to mind)

First part of my Vashwood Reincarnation AU that I’m gonna call “Cutting the Strings of Fate”, which planted itself in my mind some days ago! The concept takes part in the future after the Trigun Maximum events.

While I was drawing I was wondering if Vash is a bit too ooc here maybe? Tristamp Vash is a pretty diffcícult character to grasp for me, but I think considering that he hasn’t really lived through all that that he did in the anime, and just starts to remember the events in the manga, it’s ok if he’s a bit more carefree at first, and not so completely the depressed and sad puppy from the anime…Anyway, mixing the Tristamp characters with the Trimax universe was a fun idea to me! I love both iterations of the characters and their respective universes a lot, sooo why not mash them together?
