My thoughts:

Personally I adored it. It had a very good premise and moved along at a good pace. It was told from Keith perspective which is good, but at the same time I feel like the story could have been a bit more impactful if they shifted to Lance’s perspective at times. That being said they did a great job enrapturing all of the characters and who they were. It is very rare to find an AU fic that encaptures the characters so well within the universe. It was a nice change to read a book and actually be able to envision each character canonically saying and doing each action and phrase. Overall this is a fantastic fic. Great length, slightly cliche but very well written. I 100% recommend that everyone give this a read.

Keith grows up in an orphanage and befriends The Group in sixth grade. Skip to senior year and he's hopelessly in love with Lance and still very much in the closet.

My thoughts:

Harry Potter AU’s are hard to do well so the first thing I have to do is give major props to the author. With AU’s of other TV shows you not only have to focus on keeping the characters true to themselves but also keeping the world itself true to it’s original world, the author did an incredible job at both. The storyline was very original even within the universe and had some particularly adorable moments for Bokuto which Akaashi of course walked in on. The pining was almost overdone but not quite? It was an acceptable level but anymore and it might’ve gotten overdone and annoying.

Overall this is an adorable and well written BokuAka fic. If you’re as big of a BokuAka fan as I am I recommend going to read it immediately!

When he wakes up in the hospital wing, Bokuto is met with the most beautiful boy he’s ever seen. Sitting up slowly in his cot, he blurts, “Did I die and go to heaven?”

My thoughts:

I love this so much you have no idea! I don’t normally review ongoing fics but this was so cute and I just had to! Lance and Keith are just so well portrayed and the author goes above and beyond to make sure everything in their fic is super accurate. I honestly love authors that put this much heart and soul into their fics, it really shines through and makes what you’re reading something special.

That being said, the reason I give this fic the rating that I do is that it gets really repettative and boring at times. The author seems to disrupt the flow of the story by throwing in sometimes consecutive paragraphs of pining, and the pining is always the same thing. A little bit of pining is a good thing, a lot of internalized pining gets boring and just makes me want to skip over all of those sections.

Overall, I adore this fic and you guys should all go read it! It’s not done yet but authors need encouragement from readers through reviews to keep writing those chapters, so give them that encouragement! Write those reviews! Shower this author with love because they deserve it!!

Keith groans louder, the bright screen threading pain right through his eyes and into his head, even as his stomach does a little flipflop. Of course he did, he tells himself. His lab partner’s missing. He’s probably worried about having to do all the work by himself. Keith’s gruff excuses don’t manage to stop his stomach from performing yet another backflip. Damn, why did he have to get so flustered over this stupid jackass?

My thoughts:

So it wasn’t bad but wasn’t good? For a fluff one shot it started out strong and cute. The intention and direction was clear and it was executed in an easy fashion. That being said as the fan fiction continued the whole thing became very ooc which can often be expected in a fluffy one shot, but if you’re going to do hat it’s best not to make the fic canon compliant. The problem with canon compliant fics is that people expect more reliability from your character descriptions and interactions so when it gets ooc it’s much more noticeable to the reader.  On top of that, the confessions and ways they get together feel very awkward, sudden, and forced, and if we go back to the realism factor, it didn’t feel realistic for the characters at all.

That being said the writing itself is pretty good and the author added in some really cute drawings that added to the piece nicely. I’m always in the mood for fluff so this was a nice change from the execs of angst fics that have been floating around recently.

Overall, if your in the mood for a light, easy read fluff fan fiction, I recommend giving this fic a try! And leave a comment to support the author! I have a feeling that in the future after they improve their storytelling skills a bit they’re going to write some  pretty amazing fanfictions that you really won’t want to miss out on!

My thoughts:

Wasn’t sure if i’d review this or not, but I figured I have to. I have read at least 5000 fanfictions and probably about 700+ Klance fanfictions and this one stood out to me enough that i’ll probably be re-reading it soon. I used to find it pointless to re-read a fan fiction but I need to drill it into your minds that this fanfic is just that good. The writing is amazing, the characters are mostly in character and any ooc moments can be 100% attributed to the fact that this is a college au and they’re bound to have slight personality differences then the canon characters. Everything progresses at a nice pace, including the conclusion which is rare.

Normally with longer fanfictions it gets clear that the author is fed up with writing the fan fiction and they conclude it all of a sudden and it feels too abrupt. Not with this fan fiction. It has an even pace, a nice conclusion, it feels very complete and is easily novel quality.

Overall I suggest you go read this if you haven’t already. It’s long but worth it. This isn’t just one of my favourite Klance fanfictions but one of my favourite fanfictions of all time. You won’t regret reading this I promise.

My thoughts:

So first of all, reincarnation is my new guilty pleasure. I just find the whole concept so cute and perfect for fluff(and angst I suppose). The concept generates it’s own interest and therefore makes it easy to write an interesting fan fiction about it. That being said that as far as reincarnation fics go this feels pretty standard. There’s clearly thought put into how reincarnation is used here but nothing particularly unique in how it’s executed. I also feel like how they get together or how Allura brings up reincarnation feels extremely forced and takes away from the overall flow of the fanfic.

Overall, it’s a cute little cliche fan fiction. It’s short so if you’re looking for some easy fluff I definitely recommend giving it a read.

Authors Summary: Keith knew Lance from the first moment he had seen him. The first day at the Garrison and as soon as his eyes locked onto his he knew. He hadn’t remembered everything at once, only flashes, feelings and some thoughts here and there. It was… something else. My thoughts:

Overall it was in incredibly well written fanfic.  It’s hard to set things in the canon verse, even pre-canon and make it work for a soulmate AU effectively, but they did a phenomenal job. the writing is fluid with little spelling mistake, the flow is nice, and the underlying theme of this being a soulmate au is very clear without there being any ooc interactions.

It is normally extremely hard to write a soulmate au without making the characters ooc, but the fact that this author not only accomplishes keeping them in character but also makes it canon compliant AND a very interesting read leaves me in awe of their writing skills. Overall I recommend everyone to just go and read it. It’s an incredible read, the author leaves it open to a sequel which I really hope it gets because this great of a fan fiction deserves one!

My thoughts: It sounds like it’s finished? And what I mean by that is that it’s only just begun but… the author seems to imply that it’s finished in their ‘notes’ section so… I guess it is? It’s a well written fic and the author clearly has a background in mind for the characters which is always good. John and Dave seem to be fairly in character(especially Dave~ I especially love his rambles), but it’s really hard to tell just based on the fact that it’s so short. But the characters are very full for how short this it. There’s no cliches in how it begins and it really hooks the reader from the get go. Makes you wonder about what’s going on behind the scenes. Honestly I just hope the author ends up writing more.

Overall it’s a well written fic but feels really incomplete. I recommend reading it than leaving a comment asking for more! Hopefully if enough of us ask for more they’ll continue it?

BiPolar Sucks...

So I’ve told you all before, like half a year ish ago? that I have BiPolar and it generally sucks... like... ugh it makes life so hard to live. Especially when you kinda stop taking your meds, which is what I did. I’m getting back on my meds now and I’m starting to feel better, but I’m not all there yet.

My thoughts: I thoroughly enjoyed this fic. Had a good intro and I mean… the author made John a hot rocker with piercings. Can’t argue with that. The writing was of a fairly high quality, enough so that it almost made me forget just how OOC John was. Dave was a bit OOC as well but John just didn’t seam like John at all to be honest. I get wanting to make John a dom, but just… I’d rather read a fic that didn’t sacrifice the characters personality to do so. This fic leads up to sex but doesn’t go into it, and the author is undecided as to whether they want to write the smut bit or not.

If you feel like reading a well written smut fic without the smut(Though there ay or may not be smut in the future) I recommend giving this fic a read! It is very well written.

My thoughts: It was really just a concept for a fic, not a full fic at all. Just an idea. But a brilliant idea that needs to be expanded. This fic has the makings of something truly fantastics! It’s well thought out and has a very consistent, though fairly unnatural way of presenting itself that gets a lot of plot information out without seaming rushed. It’s choppy but in the best way. In a way that seams to match the mental state of John and really allows for the reader to get into his head. This fic also leaves off in such a state that it feels like this is just the beginning? So I’m really hoping that the author will continue this! I’m eager to see just where this story goes~ (I’m also probably missing some sort of clever correlation between String Theory and the way this fic is presented but I honestly have no clue what String Theory even is)

Overall I definitely recommend giving this fic a read regardless what mood your in and begging the author to continue writing this fic!

My thoughts: A drunken fluffy oneshot and perfect cocktail for success! It was a pretty decent fic, extremely well written and really brought you into the story that was being presented here. I honestly love this authors writing, they are clearly extremely talented in that category. As far as the story itself goes it was about as cliche as they get. The cliche form of unrealistic drunkenness, the slight OOC that drove the story into the classic drunk confessions, and it really just left it at that. There way no after story. No implication of smut. and as well written as this story was i didn’t find it particularly interesting to read.

If you’re in the mood to read a well written, but very cliche fluffy drunken oneshot, I recommend giving this one a quick look!

My thoughts: Wow. My heart goes out to the author, because no one can write something this real without experiencing it themselves. This is vary vivid recollection of a very scary moment in life, depicted through caves eyes and it’s breath taking. There are a few moments where the spelling/grammar is wrong, but it’s easily overlooked once you get into the heat of things. The story feels very real and it’s not a romance based fic, more of a friendship one.

If you’re in the mood for a shockingly real feeling friendship fic, than I high recommend giving this a read!

Sorry for the Random Unannounced Hiatus...

Sorry for not posting anything the last few weeks. I’ve been seriously super busy with the new term for University, plus I had a Con that I was preparing for and stuff..(had to finish my ‘Fear No Anvil’ for my John cosplay~ VERY important stuff right there). Hopefully I’ll be able to get back to reviewing fanfictions in the next week or so, but I probably won’t do many longer ones till after Halloween (because my jobs demanding and school on top of that… it’s pretty time consuming) P.S. if anyones actually interested in seeing my John Egbert cosplay feel free to PM and i’ll post it on here.
