I don't trust the grandfather's girlfriend. I feel like she is poisoning him through his food. And how she said he was sleeping when people tried to visit him...something is rotten.

I did expect some confrontation between the mom and Charles over her abandoning him but also confronting the fact that the mom made it seem like Charles was the afterthought. Bruce was the priority 99.9% of the time. She said He (Bruce) is everything to me. How would Charles feel? She didn't say my sons are everything to me.

While Charles had potential and proved it, I think the mom also was using Charles as a way back in. She had to play the long game and take over.
